Honey Wheat Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2007
I love these muffins !!! I did drizzle a bit more honey on top of each one prior to baking. I freeze mine and each morning take one for my mid mornng snack/breakfast and am completely safisfied until lunch !!! I tried adding applesauce once, but didn't enjoy the taste as well. I give this receipe to everyone I know that wants a more nutritious alternative to the snack machine at work. Thanks !!!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
WOW! This recipe is great, it's easy quick and not expensive to make, definitely better than canned cream cheese frosting! Nice white color and light and fluffy, too! I halved the recipe to frost a 13x9 pan of carrot cake. It was delicious!

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
These are great! I followed the recipe as written and wasn't disappointed at all. I think they remind me of "bakery type" brownies, rich chocolate-y and very moist! I shared with my co-workers and they all agreed, very very good recipe.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
OMG! Such a tasty simple recipe and cheap, too! I used a devils food chocolate cake mix, and white chocolate chips, very tasty. I also added about a 1/4 cup of sour cream as it was hard to mix the batter, but once I did that it was easy to mix and put on baking sheets. Definitely a keeper recipe!

Graham Streusel Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
So good! I reminds me of cinnamon rolls, only as a lighter cake version! I wasn't sure my (picky) husband would even try, as he doesnt care to try stuff outside the "norm", anyway, we both loved this! I microwaved the next morning for a few short seconds to warm up and it was even better ! So glad I tried this easy to make tasty recipe!

Aaron's Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
Wonderful recipe, easy easy easy !!! I rolled the dough which was perfect in it's uncooked stage into 1 1/2 inch balls and placed on ungreased cookie sheets. I upped the temp of the oven to 375 and watched until done, they were perfect! I skipped the chocolate chips b/c I thought it would be overkill, I used French Vanilla flavored cake mix and white chocolate instant pudding, delicious! Thanks a definite keeper, in my book!!!!

Best Peach Cobbler Ever

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
Good grief! these reviews hurt my head. I used a premium brand of peaches, in heavy syrup. I measured the liquid in the cans (14.5 oz each can) which was about 1/3 cup of heavy syrup in each can. I then used all they heavy syrup, but omitted the water called for in the recipe. I then substituted the corn starch for, 1/4 cup of Tapioca, which I allowed to sit in the peach mixture for about 15 minutes, while I prepared the batter and the melted butter and allowed the oven to come to the 350 degrees. I melted the butter as described in the recipe, and poured the peaches in pan first, then poured the thin batter on top. To the top of that, I added the cinnamon, nutmeg and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. I baked for 65 minutes on the top rack. I allowed more than one hour of cooling and set up after baking. The end result was a peach cobbler that was very good, not too thick nor too thin. The taste was delicious!

Peanut Butter Cookies IV

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
Very good peanut butter cookie. I doubled recipe, and glad I did because these are very yummy and go fast! I did use 1/2 butter (real butter) and 1/2 shortening. I also only baked for 8 minutes and checked to make sure they weren't too brown. Adjusted time accordingly.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
This recipe obviously takes some time to prepare, however, it is well worth it! If you buy a roaster chicken and plan ahead, this makes a delicious chicken. It is far better than thise cheap chickens with the funny taste you can get prepared from the supermarket. I say you get what you pay for, and really isnt your health worth the tiny bit of effort of this recipe?

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
Excellent Muffins! I doubled the recipe as I had a pint of Blueberries to use up. I also did not bother adding any exra Vanilla - it did not need it. I made in regular size tins + 12 small ones. I substitued 1/3 milk & 1/3 cup of Sour cream. I did not as one reviewer suggested double to struesal topping & was glad one batch makes plenty for 12 reg size muffins and 12 mini ones.

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
This is such a delicious frosting recipe! It reminds me of the frosting used by bakeries on their donuts, the ones filled with cream or pudding. Absolutely a perfect recipe IMO. The only thing was that it might have to be doubled for most cakes. Thank You !!!

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2007
This is really good !!! I was skeptical, so when I made it I left enough time before dinner to make something else, plus I seem to kill anything yeast, but I was careful to not do that, and made this very easy dough, that was very easy to handle. And the taste is MUCH better than bakery pizza dough !!! yummy.

Louisiana Crab Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
This was very tasty, but I have to agree with one reviewer that noted that the onion was a tad too strong, and I LOVE onion! I added a touch of Mayo, b/c every crab dip I have tried in the past calls for that. I also halved this recipe all but the crab, I used one shredded crab can and the other lump, and that was very tasty. I also skipped the paprika and substituted Old Bay seasoning instead, b/c I bought this HUGE can of it, and need to figure out a good way of using it up! Aside from the onion, which I wouldn't omit, but use less of, this was very tasty.

Easy Slow Cooker Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
This is a very tasty base for a solid meatball and sauce meal. I doctored up my sauce and to the meatballs I added some parmesan cheese. This tasted wonderful and is a keeper! I did bake the meatballs before adding to the sauce and they for the most part held together fine during the cooking progress. I did find however that my sauce was tad too acidic to remedy that I added some baking soda and no one was the wiser.
