Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2007
This was fantastic. I added fresh mushrooms and left the feta on the side, we prefer to sprinkle it on ourselves. I think this could have used more basil and garlic, it was a little bland. I will definitely make this again.

Aunt Blanche's Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2007
I screwed up twice on this recipe, I forgot the milk, and I used dried blueberries instead of fresh. Don't use dried, they stay little hard balls that don't release any flavor. Still, even screwing up repeatedly, they were delicious. I'd love to know what they'd be like if I made them properly, and I'm going out to buy blueberries to make some more as soon as my current ones are gone. Also, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on top of the unbaked muffins, it's delicious.

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
Too sweet and didn't have enough lime flavor, but after a couple of bites I didn't notice. Very tasty. Didn't quite fill the crust, might need to increase the recipe a bit.

Best Spinach Dip Ever

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
Eh. I thought it fell flat. It had potential, but it was too creamy, it was just like eating a tub of mayo. Oh wait, it was. If you do make it, definitely keep it overnight, it tastes like sour cream and onion dip at first. It also took me 5 different stores to find any leek soup mix in a store.

Chocolate Rhapsody

Reviewed: May 21, 2006
This tasted delicious. The raspberry part scared me, I thought it would be alot harder than it turned out to be. I didnt do the cake part right so it didnt rise, but thats because I missed a step. I would have given this recipe full points for taste, but when we took the springform part off of the cake, the raspberry mousse part started spilling out the sides, it was a huge mess. We kept trying to rebuild the mousse layer, but it never got solid enough to support itself. This recipe tastes fantastic, but watch out, its messy! Also, the mousse part is filled with seeds, and in similar recipes I was directed to strain them out. This is very easy to do if you use a strainer and a bowl or round spoon that can fit inside of the strainer to squeeze the syrup out. I probably wouldnt make this recipe again because of the mess, and it was also a tad bit too rich for me, but I wouldnt mind eating it again.

Guacamole

Reviewed: May 7, 2006
I've finally decided that I'm just not a guacamole person, but this is still the best guacamole I've ever had. There was a sharp taste in there somewhere that I didn't like, either the garlic or the cilantro, but everyone else was blown away by it.

Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
Wasn't kidding about needing to wait overnight for it to set. It's delicious the next day. I don't know if a pressure cooker is the best idea for cheesecake, but this is the only one I've ever made and it came out great.

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
Very good, though not very close to the egg drop soup I've tried in restaurants. Will make again.

Creamiest Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
This is extremely good. Same problem as everyone else though, the chocolate clumped while it cooled down. Still extremely delicious. Even so, I probably won't make it again, I'll look for a recipe without raw egg and something made with cocoa powder rather than chocolate.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2006
This recipe is 100% perfect. The first time I made it, I doubled the recipe and made it in a pot, and it turned out very well. The second time I added a cinnamon stick (as well as the ground cinnamon), and pressure cooked it for about 6 minutes (8 apples), and that turned out very good as well. I'm making it, once again, but this time with 16 apples. An automagic peeler/corer is so cool, and makes peeling mass amounts of apples a breeze. I definitely recommend this recipe to anyone who likes applesauce :)
