Amber's Sesame Chicken
About this Cook
I just turned 23 and was married 5/31/08!!! I've been really cooking for the past 5 years. I LOVE cooking, including all the prep work :)
My favorite things to cook
I make a very good Meatloaf... it's my mother's recipe. I've tried quite a few other's but they're all bland or dry. I also LOVE cowboy spagetti. You can find it on the food network website made by Rachel Ray (she made me like cooking!)
My favorite family cooking traditions
The usual... Christmas and Thanksgiving. Since I started cooking, I've been able to help out a lot more. I love it!
My cooking triumphs
Everytime is a triumph when everyone says how good the food is. I love to entertain!
My cooking tragedies
I've made my fiance squirm quite a few times by putting onion's in meals. He says he's alergic :P I'm also a bit clumsy sometimes... I was using those slicer's that cut vege's perfectly... I was cutting a cucumber (I did use the safty guard) but my hand slipped and I sliced my finger pretty good. I've never used one since... they scare me

Homemade Butter
AMAZING!! I can't believe I've been wasting so much $$ on store bought butter. The first batch I used 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and 3 dashes of salt. my hubby said it needs more. The 2nd batch I used 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 1/4 tsp of salt, 3 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon which made an amazing topping for toast, pancakes, waffles, grilled P B & J! ... you name it!!! I'm still in awww over this :) THANK YOU All Recipes!

Amber's Sesame Chicken
So Amazing! The only thing I did different was added the sesame seeds on top of the finished chicken

Stuffed Peppers My Way
GREAT! I actually made a rice dish out of this to stretch a meal. I cut 3 red & yellow bell peppers into chunks and sautéed them in the oil. Added 2 cloves of chopped garlic, then the spices from this recipe, and 1/2 cup of white wine. I let that simmer until the wine was almost gone and added the rice & cheese. DELICIOUS!!! My picky fiancé ate it as well. Next time I will try the whole stuffed peppers.
