Ethiopian Cabbage Dish

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
Followed advice of others and doubled the spices. This was fabulous. I did add garlic at the end,let it fry for a very long time till things started to carmalize. Wrapped it up in a warm tortilla, was great! Much better the next day if you can stop eating it. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Grilled Sweet Potatoes with Apples

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
I read the reviews and used brown sugar, drastically cut back butter and used olive oil. I have to admit I was going to omit the apples, sooo glad I did not. Great flavor, fast and easy, to make, to eat and clean up. This one goes in the purple notebook. Thanks

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
I used fresh tomatoes, and jalapeno. No Italian dressing, just a little olive oil, fresh garlic and lemon juice as someone suggested. Left them in the fridge for a day. Warmed up a tortilla, put just a little hummus on it and a bunch of this and Oh my goodness!!!!! Even the pickiest kid wanted one in their lunch. Fantastic

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2007
Thank you for this, I usually dont alter the recipe the first time but I did. Cut down on the butter and changed some veggies and added potato. What I love is the base, no condensed fat soup. My kids loved it and it so easy and soooo much better fot them then pre-made or throw a bunch of processed stuff together. This will be used often. KUDOS

Lemon Curd Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
My son helped me with this one. We had no unsalted butter or coconut but it was really good. My son really stirred up the ingredients so it was like dough, no large crumbs for us. It was still great. I think the possiblity is here for this to be fantastic. I wish I knew just what to do. Seemed a little too buttery and not enough zing for our tastes. BUT it had less than 1/2 the fat calories that most of the other lemon goodies. AND, dont get me wrong we did enjoy them and will make them again. We made them for a dinner party and had not a one left. Thanks

This was wonderful. I was concerned that it might be too spicy because of the reviews so I went light on the chili sauce a touch. Will not change a thing next time. All 3 (12,10,6) kids liked it. Will make again with out a doubt. THANK YOU MAXWELL

Mini Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
I only had a white cake mix,so I used it.I made 12 of these with just the brown sugar and butter on top for the 1/2 of the family who does not like pineapple. I then left to pick up kids and forgot about them in the oven. They were way overdone. To my surprise they ate them, even the pineapple haters told me how good they were. They had no idea they had juice in them. Even burnt these were good. Will Make again. What a great idea!! Thanks

Poppy Seed Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
I was hesitant to try this with the fat content. I took others advice and used fat free soup, only 1/2 the butter and low fat sour cream. I gave it 5 stars because if you had made it as it is stated I'm sure it would be. It was 4 the way I made it. Thanks
