About this Cook
I'm 23 years old, I come from a large family, and currently live with my fiance. I have a hard time cooking for just two people. I am currently a registered nurse and work in a nursing home.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy baking and making desserts the most. I also like cooking chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I loved helping my mom make her homemade spaghetti sauce, it would cook for at least 24 hours. Then we would use it to make lasanga or cheese rolls, or sometimes just regular spaghetti. I loved the smell of it cooking in the house.
My cooking triumphs
I think I've had many. I don't cook a whole lot and some people didn't think that I knew how to cook at all. I loved the look on their faces when I make something and they realize that it is good.
My cooking tragedies
I've had a few of these. Whether it be burning something, or adding to much chicken broth to the mashed potatoes and ending up with potato soup.

Shrimp and Artichoke Linguine
I'd make it again! When I reheated the leftovers I sauteed some additional minced garlic and red pepper flakes, I liked it better with a little heat.

Best Black Beans
Didn't care for them at all. Not a whole lot of flavor up front, but very spicy after effect. Mine turned out really mushy, doubt the mushiness was the recipe fault, but the flavor was not what I was hoping for.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce
Super yummy! I think the sauce was even better the next day. I didn't find it to be too spicy at all, and think it could be easily tweaked to anyone's taste preferences. I will never buy store bought again!
