Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: May 26, 2013
Loved it! First time trying homemade burgers - added a tsp of Worcestershire (just because we love it) and left out the salt - added about half a teaspoon of salt right before putting burgers on the grill to avoid drying out the burgers. Thanks for a great and unique recipe!!

Marzetti® Honey Dijon Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2010
This was delicious! I did not have honey-mustard dressing on hand, so made my own by mixing about 1/3 cup mayonnaise, couple of tbsp of honey, couple of tbsp of stoneground mustard and a tbsp of lemon juice ... followed the rest of the recipe as written, although only baked for 40 minutes - came out golden brown & juicy - thanks for sharing!

Salmon Patties I

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
Yummy! Thank you so much for this recipe - and for everyone else who gave suggestions on how to liven it up a bit. Everyone cleaned their plates, and my toddler who has been going through a phase of only eating toast and cucumber for the past few weeks ASKED for more! As others suggested, I sauteed about 1/4 of an onion in some olive oil, then added it to the salmon & breadcrumbs, along with non-fat sour cream, stoneground mustard, lemon juice, and a bit of the reserved water from the canned salmon. Served with small whole wheat rolls and a green salad. Thank you for a GREAT, easy, family friendly recipe!!

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
I am sorry to say that we did not enjoy this at all ... pork was over cooked, and I only cooked it for 30 minutes as opposed to the hour indicated ... could not for the life of me get the sauce to thicken, and took previous reviewers advice to "liven" up the sauce with dismal results. I might try it again, just as there were so many great reviews, but an overwhelming thumbs down tonight.

The Meatball that Fell Off the Table

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
Entire family loved this - my toddler asked for seconds which is unheard of! My husband does not like coriander, and I didn't have nutmeg on hand, so I used another poster's suggestion and substituted with stoneground mustard. We are an anti-mushroom family, so used cream of celery instead, and added 1/3 cup no-fat sour cream to thicken it up. Browned the meatballs for 5 minutes or so, then put them in a casserole dish, poured the sauce overtop and baked at 350 degrees for a little over an hour. Served the meatballs and sauce over egg noodles. Thank you for a great recipe that everyone loved!

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Amazing! I nixed the brown sugar for a packet of Splenda, but aside from that made it according to the recipe and it was FABULOUS! I have to say that I was just looking for something simple to do with 2 pork tenderloins I had in the fridge, and I did not feel like anything complicated ... came across this recipe and figured that it sounded simple enough - although it didn't sound that exciting. My mistake - AMAZING, and our new #1 go to recipe for tenderloin - thank you for a great recipe!!

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Excellent! Followed the advice of previous reviewers and sauteed the garlic first. I also substituted the butter with olive oil. Baked for 15 minutes @ 400 degrees - turned out perfectly. My 3 year old daughter cleaned her plate, which is a first!! Thanks for sharing a great recipe!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2008
Excellent! I also, as a previous reviewer did, used boneless, skinless chicken breasts, and just put them in a baking dish with the sauce poured over top; baked at 400 for 35 minutes - fantastic! The only other change - as we are watching our sugar/carb intake, I threw in two packets of Splenda instead of the 1/2 cup sugar.

Lemon-Butter Snow Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
Easy and delicious way to add some zip to snow peas. I steamed them for 2 minutes, and then substituted olive oil for the butter and drizzled the oil/lemon/seasoning mixture overtop - even my 18 month old gobbled them up - thank you!

Broccoli with Lemon Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2007
Very good - took the advice from other reviews and used fresh broccoli which I steamed for about 4 minutes; made the sauce in a small saucepan and poured over top. I also, on the advice of a previous reviewer, used about a tbsp of RealLemon Juice in lieu of a fresh lemon. My husband poured the leftover sauce over his rice as well - it's a great, versatile sauce that can be used for almost any veggie!
