Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast
I have been doing this slow cooker-crock pot stuff forever and these cheaper cuts of beef are the best for this recipe. PaulineL is right on the money by saying "slow cook today, refrigerate tonight, remove the fat on top tomorrow re-heat in the crock pot again and Voila!!, it is dinner. Less mess if one uses oven bags, which I love and I only use 1 can of soup, no water and one envelope of dry onion soup mix. By the way, God is female because only a woman sees the value of a crock pot.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Turkey Breast
I put a split turkey breast in the slow-cooker, added 1 cup of cranberries and 1/4 cup orange juice, then put it on LOW for around 6 hours. I drained the liquid, mashed the cranberries, added a can of cream of chicken soup and half a can of water to make an amazing gravy. It ws very tasty and the color was added another dimension. Couple that with turkey dressing, peas and mashed potatoes, it was an easy mid-week dinner. The hard work already done by my slow-cooker; the greatest invention since I don't know what. Lastly, I agree with some of the other folks in terms of the dry onion soup mix. Not a good addition.

Zuppa Toscana
I live in Erie, PA, and cold is a reality, except for August. Maybe. Further I am a great soup lover and this is a great soup and I love it. It has meat, potatoes and veggies and the broth is to die for.
