Ground Beef and Cabbage
When I told my Hubby we were having "Ground Beef & Cabbage" for dinner he looked at me like I was crazy. To our surprise, not only did HE like it, so did our very picky kids! I changed very little, which was to add Garlic to the cabbage mixture and used 2 cans of tomatoes as suggested by other users. I think if you were only to use a 1/2 head of cabbage, 1 can of tomatoes would be enough. Next time, I'm planning on making this w/ all the ingredients listed, garlic, 2 cans Italian diced tomatoes and 1/2 lb Italian Sausage. This is a super-easy, budget-friendly, hearty meal for your family and it tastes great to boot! Don't forget a pinch of red pepper flake & some TX toast on the side! Yum! Thanks for sharing!

Pot Roast Dips
This is a great recipe and so simple too! I did think it needed a little more fluid in the crock than called for, so I used two cups of warm water w/ two beef bouillon cubes dissolved in it. I then added the au jus & soup mixes as called for and added a little dried onion, garlic powder, & lots of fresh cracked black pepper. The extra seasonings were really unnecessary as it would have been just as delicious w/o it. The only two things I would suggest are adding 2 cups in lieu of 1 and adding onions if you like them. We used hoagie rolls, which I split spread w/a thin layer of (homemade) Horseradish Creme, then added the shredded mozzarella and toasted them in a 350 oven for 7 mins. Then, added the shredded meat as directed & served w/fries and au jus. Though, the meat is so tender, flavorful & juicy, the au jus really wasn't necessary. Enjoy!

Bierox Casserole
I just thought that the sauce wastoo rich & there was too much of it. Also, it needed something, what though, I'm not sure b/c I tried spicing it up and it didn't help the end-result. I love casseroles w/ground beef & cabbage and I love bierochs, so I thought this might be a winner. For us, I'll stick w/ the real-deal bierochs in the future, but your family may enjoy it and in any case the kids did like it, so THANKS for the recipe!
