Frosty Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
I used a graham cracker crust and a full small can of pumpkin. Instaead of 1 quart of vanilla ice cream, I used 1 pint vanilla and 1 pint Haggen Daz ginger ice cream. I took it to a Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it. I was lucky I still had a little bit of the filling left at home in the freezer! I will DEFINITELY make this again!

This is a super recipe! We loved the spiciness. I like to ad a dash of garlic powder or garlic salt for extra flavor.

Dried Beef Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
I didn't have onion salt, so I used onion powder and added garlic powder. Instead of MSG I added a tiny bit of season salt. This recipe was a HUGE hit at the school Christmas party. Not only did people rave, but I made a double batch that was almost completely gone--at a pot luck, even! It's super easy and people loved it! I will DEFINITELY make this again!

Aunt Carol's Spinach and Fish Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
I thought this was a great recipe, but followed some of the other suggestions to tweak it. Ireplaced the bread crumbs with crackers (I had crackers), added mushrooms, some chopped onion, some chopped garlic, a little salt, and some cider vinegar to the spinach mixture. I also put the whole cup of cheese and all of the cracker crumbs in the spinach mixture and reserved some of that for the top of the fish. Then I sprinkled more cheese on top. Next time I think I'll sprinkle Old Bay on the fish. I'll defenitely make again.

Beer Spice Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2006
This cake was fabulous! I used Sam Adams' seasonal Pumpkin Ale (which added a great flavor) and topped with canned cream cheese frosting. My husband and co-workers loved it. I'll definitely make this again!
