This rice is perfect and needs no other seasonings. I was a little aprehensive about about browning the dry uncooked rice, as that is unlike anything I'd done before. Somehow in browning the uncooked rice the onion flavor is infused into the rice and gives it a full robust flavor. All of my children and my husband really liked this rice dish and it was extremely easy to make. Have already made this rice again and again and again. Once I was out of fresh onion and used dried onion instead, but I don't recommend it because the flavor was just not there. It wasn't bad though by any means it just needed a little soya sauce.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Wow, I love the melding of tastes in this salad. My husband and children were not prepared for the sweet taste of it, but after the first taste shock they determined they liked it as well. I didn't have any sesame seeds, so simply left them out. We didn't miss them. I will definitely make this salad again, perhaps for company next time.

Beefy Barbecue Macaroni

I wasn't too sure about adding BBQ sauce to noodles and meat, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was really good! The only ingredient I added was a diced sweet pepper and I chose to follow the suggestions of some of the other reviews and did not make the cheese sauce separately. I mixed the butter and milk with the cooked noodles and then added them to the meat. After I mixed the noodles and the meat I added the grated cheese and stirred everything together. Super easy and tasted amazing. I have 4 children and they all liked it. I will definitely make this dish again.

Impossible Pumpkin Pie

I'm sorry, but I didn't love this pie, but some of my family members did, thus the 4 stars. I found the texture and the flavor strange or I guess not what I expected. I really like the idea of the pie making it's own crust, but I didn't see this happen here. I would not make this recipe again. Thanks for sharing though.

Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

Fabulous cookies. Everywhere we take these cookies they are the first to disappear. The cookies don't need very much icing between them to sweeten them up. These are so easy to make that my oldest daughter (age 10) was able to make them herself for a bake sale fundraiser. I would guess that they would freeze well, but they never last that long at our house even when I double the recipe. Also, as a time saver I use prepared cream cheese icing. One container of icing is sufficient for a double batch of cookies. Thanks so much to John for the best cookie recipe ever!! PS These cookies are even better than oreos.

Pumpkin Pie Bread

This is the most amazing bread. I have always made banana bread, but this is much more flavorful. I always double the recipe because we absolutely love it, it is cheaper to buy the large can of pumpkin which is about 30 oz. and the pumpkin loaf freezes beautifully. Thanks to Tanja for this recipe.

Sloppy Joes II

My family absolutely loved this recipe, even more than my usual Sloppy Joe recipe. Changes I made: I used about a pound and a half of ground meat and a red bell pepper rather than a green pepper, I also added tomato paste to make it a nice consistancy. Interesting Note...my neice who is a very picky eater was over for supper the night I made this and she had TWO helpings. WOW!! I will definitely be making this again and again. Thank you Tamara!

Strawberry Salad II

My entire family loved this "Salad". I did make a couple of changes though. Instead of just frozen strawberries I used frozen mixed berries and rather than frozen whipped topping thawed I used whipped Nutriwhip. Awesome recipe, I highly recommend it for ease of preparation and excellent taste.

Bierock Casserole

I decided to try this recipe because the ingredients reminded me of the "Hamburger Pies" that my grandma made when I was a little girl, and I never thought to ask her for her recipe before she passed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this Bierock Casserole tasted just like my grandma's. I know that my grandma did not use prepared crescent rolls, but I don't mind saving time, especially when the taste did not suffer in the least. Thank you so much to whomever submitted this recipe. I can't wait to make this recipe for my dad, he will be thrilled. Also, all of my children loved this casserole. I definitely rate this recipe a five!
