Rocky Road Turtle Cake

Great cake! I made my slits too big which made the cake break apart in the middle. After I added the toppings to the top it didn't look as bad. I will make sure that when I made the cake again to make the slits smaller. Tasted great, very moist. I saved a little of the chocolate frosting mixture for the top as well. The combination of the caramel and chocolate drizzle made a great look over the nuts and marshmallows. I will make this again!

Mississippi Mud Brownies

These turned out very good. It was my fault that I undercooked them which made them a little messy when serving. But the next day the were PERFECT! Great flavor! I made these for my dad and served them with French Vanilla ice cream and he loved them. Next time I will cook them a little longer, and allow them to cool a little longer before serving. Thanks for a great recipe!

Delicious Apple Crisp

My first negative feedback. Didn't turn out anything like I thought. The apple mixture was very watery, needing more cornstarch. The topping wasn't very crunchy probably due to all the moisture from the apples. Unfortunately I will not be making this one again.

Blueberry-Lemon Crumb Bars

These turned out pretty good. I made the crust in my Kitchen Aid mixer and it never really turned into a dough. I added 2.5 Tablespoons of ice cold water for it to form. I ended up baking mine for the full 25 minutes, and it was perfect.

White Chocolate Pound Cake

Very delicious moist pound cake, and an easy recipe to follow. I couldn't find my large bundt pan, so I made individual ones and it worked out well. I topped them off with the chocolate drizzle and fresh & frozen strawberries. Delish!

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

I made this the other night for my boyfriend and he really liked it. We had it with garlic bread. This is a really good basic recipe that allows space to add your own personal touches! I left the sausages whole after debating how to cook them, I was out of white wine (and could buy any due to my age) so I deglazed with chicken broth and didn't make a difference.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I made these for my boyfriend the other night, and he really liked them. I substituted Splenda for the white sugar, which I usually do for my baking. I expected them to be a little chewier, but they were still good. To make cookies really chewy you need a higher brown sugar to white sugar ratio.

Chocolate Mint Dessert Brownies

I made this for my office during a tour we were hosting, and these brownies were gone within minutes of putting them out! I got so many compliments and everyone loved them! Next time I'll be sure to double this great recipe!
