I grew up in a household where dad did all the cooking and mom did all the baking. My whole family, being mostly Italian, has a passion for good food and a variety of flavors. My younger brother is a professional chef.

Anything with bite to it. My influences trend towards Italian, Greek, and Southwest flavors.

Lamb for Easter. Nothing beats a nice leg of lamb with fresh herbs and olive oil.
My cooking triumphs
My personal favorite is my Green and Gold chili. It is ridiculously expensive to make, but has such a tremendous mixture of textures and flavors that I crave it year-round. My friends and family all asked for the recipe before finishing their first bowls!
My cooking tragedies
Guacamole... The first time I attempted it, it was a 2 hour utter failure... Haven't tried it since.
