Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
Yummy. I made a few minor changes here and there (including seperating the wet and dry, them folding the wet into the dry via quick bread method for a more delicate cake), omitted the pecans, replace 1/2 of the sugar with brown sugar, and used a different frosting recipe, but it still turned out great! Thak you.

Delish! Though it turned out more like a cake than a bread, my family i really enjoyed it! It was so moist and full of great banana flavor! Yum!

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2006
Wonderful recipe! I love making everything from scratch and i get so frusterated when recipes call for cake mixes because i never buy them! This tasted great and amazingly fast. I also used oil instead of shortening and it turned out great!!! Thank you!

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: May 11, 2006
The first time i made this recipe, the dough was very tough and hard to work with, didn't rise well, and made a very dense roll. I made these again today, and though again, the dough seemed a little too tough, the rolls came out great and tasted amazing!!! Thank you.

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Reviewed: May 10, 2006
sensational!!! I didn't have strawberry jell-o so i used orange instead. Then i added some zest, orange extract and just a touch of yogurt in addition to the other ingredients and it was to die for! I topped it all off with an orange cream cheese frosting and, wow... all i can say is wow! great recipe- its a definite keeper!

Old Fashioned Fudge Cake

To be honest, the batter was much better than the final baked product which was just okay. Still it gets 4 stars because the batter itself was wonderful!!!

Honey Wheat Bread II

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2006
This recipe really didn't work for me. It took forever to rise, was very hard to work with, didn;t bake all the way through and very bland in flavor. At first, i thought I might have done something wrong because all the other reviews were so great. So i tried making the bread again and i had the same problems. Sorry, but I don't think i'll be making this again.

Perfect! I had to reduce the cooking time (i learned the hard way) but they turned out so well!!! The problem i've consistantly had in the past is my peanutbutter cookies are never quite peanut-buttery enough but these cookies were flawless! Thank you so much! I will deffinatly be making these again (and again and again)

Banana Crumb Muffins

Simply divine! I sifted the flour and used a silicone baby muffinpan. Also, i added a tiny bit of mashed banana to the topping and it worked out wonderfully! Fluffy, moist and oh so tasty! Thank you!

Emily's Famous Marshmallows

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2006
I had high hopes for this recipe, but it unfortunately didn't turn out- It never solidified (it stayed the consistency of frosting) and it had an odd aftertaste. It's not the best candy, but it would make an nice frosting or filling for a cake.

Angel Food Cake III

fantastic recipe! The cake was moist, light, and fluffy... everything an angel food cake should be. I made a simple icing with powdered sugar and milk and drizzled it on the top to add a little extra someting, but the cake was divine on its own! Thank you!
