Apple Goat Cheese Bruschetta

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
Very good. You can't beat the flavor combination, and it is a unique appetizer to serve. However, my only comment is that they are a bit dry. Great recipe, though, thanks!

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
Pretty good! Made these for a party last night, they went quickly. The comments were that they were "good", but no one raved.

Laurie's Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2007
This was good! Different from the usual stuffed peppers... the sausage is a nice addition. I added Worchestershire, used garlic and onion tomatoes, pepper jack cheese and dirty rice - so since I used so many of the reviewers' recommendations, I could only give the original 4 stars. I think I still prefer the "usual", but it was a yummy change.

Macaroni Chicken Dinner

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
This was very easy and very good. I did use ham and thawed frozen broccoli in place of chicken, eggs and celery... and I thought it was great. However, I gave it 4 stars because the macaroni was still a little too hard after 15 minutes beyond the recommended cooking time. Even so, the kids ate it all and the husband complained only of the pasta not being soft enough! Other than that, it was a big hit, thanks!

Crescent-Topped Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
Eh. My 19 month old ate it like crazy. But my husband and I just thought it was below average. Very basic, not horrible... but it tastes like it wants to be lasagna but really isn't. It's soggy crescent with ground beef and sauce. I won't make it again. If I want that taste, I'll make lasagna and like it a whole lot more. Sorry and thanks, though!

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
Very nice recipe... however, it is quite salty, so be careful if you are sensitive to that. We love it, the gravy is flavorful. Works well with white rice if you aren't up for mashed potatoes. My 1 1/2 year old inhales it. Thanks so much!

Quick Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
For easy preparation, it gets 5 stars. But prepared as is, it's a good dinner... kids like it, husband likes it, it just doesn't WOW us. However, I used Steamfresh broccoli (that steams itself in the bag from the freezer section) this time - and I feel like with that addition, it goes to 4 stars. Just toss it in frozen, the end product is just fresher and more flavorful.

Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2006
I had rave reviews from a big family - and late arrivals who had to eat them cold were mad that there were none left, but glad they got a taste. Tips - to make them less greasy - just pile the sausage on paper towels after you cook it! All that grease gets sucked down and you are fine. As well, I recommend putting the peppers in the oven (same temp) for about 8 to 10 minutes so they get a bit soft. And a quick tip for gutting the peppers out - use a small melon baller. Saves you so much trouble. Other than that, picture perfect, thanks a mil!

Broccoli Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2006
Really good! Made it per the recipe - husband and kids (even picky 1 year old) loved it. Seemed a little bland at first, so if you like dishes with a LOT of flavor, I would recommend doctoring it up. But it worked at our house because it was just right for the kids' tastes.
