Baked Beans II

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Used pork n beans with bacon - so I did not add any. I also softened the onion in the microwave with a pat of butter - used vidalia. These were awesome! Cooked one day ahead - then just re-heat for the big cook out!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
Mix butter with garlic powder to make a paste. Use 1 to 1.5 sticks of butter, rub under all skin Sprinkle seasoned salt after liquid is poured I added 1 tsp. garlic powder to the water along with the bouillon (use 1 TBSP), parsley and onion. Put fresh rosemary under the breast skin with the butter. Also placed a quartered lemon and quartered onion inside the cavity. Used a 12 lb. bird as recommended and it was done in 3.5 hours. Allowed it to rest 20 minutes before carving. Be sure to spray the foil with cookong spray. Use shallots instead of dried onion. Absolutely unbelievebale!! Christmas Dinner 08 THANK YOU!

Tuna Noodle Casserole III

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2008
Very quick to assemble. Loved the milk and sour cream. The cayenne and seasoned salt were not overwhelming and added a nice flavor. I really enjoyed the American Cheese singles with the bread crumbs ontop. Next time I will stir the cheese in though. I just put it ontop, but it's so yummy I want it throughout!!! Thank you for a quick and delightful meal. Abbi ate buttered noodles. Bella loved the casserole!

Awesome Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
Wonderful! I used the lemon grass, and added 2 cloves of garlic also during the cooking of the chicken and veggies. I added fresh onion, carrot and celery. I used the thinner egg noodles, not too thin. Medium size I guess. The girls loved it! I added fresh parsley and green onion to mine. With Club crackers on the side. YUMMY! Thank you!

I'll be making a second batch this week! Thank you!

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
I make this once a month - and I always freeze a ziploc of rotisserie chicken or roasted chicken to make this so much easier. I do not added jalenpenos... hubby can't have the spice. I sometimes double this for a great family chili gathering! Always bake fresh cornbread muffins. We always put sour cream, cliantro and monterey cheese fresh grated! Thank you!!!

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
These were very easy and good. I used davoy cabbage and only half pound ground pork. I used half a carrot and 3/4 head of cabbage. Used 1/3 cup in each roll, I'll try to tuck more in I think. I used a thermometer to gage my oil. Next time I think 350 will be hot enough. Mine were dark crispy. Put the oven on at 275 to keep them warm. Made pork fried rice and used the same mixture to have two items. Used 3 TBSP sake and 6 TBSP mirin, 2 TBSP sugar, and 6 TBSP soy sauce, to flavor and it was perfect! A squeeze of garlic chili, and about 2 TBSP hoisin. Thank you very much!!!

Very nice balance of flavors. We use whole wheat pasta. I used the wine, it was a nice depth of flavor. In Japan raw eggs are eaten all the time. We use organic and don't worry. The heat of the pasta really does cook the egss well. I also added the 3/4cup heavy cream. Delicious! Thank yoU!

I made a batch of Waffle House Waffles, it sits in the fridge overnight, and that will be breakfast tomorrow morning! I've never had a better sauce that's quick and easy, and outstanding outcome!
