The Best Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
My father-in-law asks for this all the time, and my husband loves it too. I followed the recipe pretty much exactly.

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Loved this one too! So easy, and so delicious. So rich. I agree using a microwave instead of a double-boiler works just fine. They do taste great even the next day when they cool down, maintain moisture perfectly, though obviously the iddle is no longer molten. Remember to wait til it cools to room teperature before sprinkling sugar on it!

Lemon Sauce for Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
This is a great basic sauce to know, and can have endless variations. The original recipe is great to go with salmon, as above. Another great one is, instead of the lemon, put in garlic and parmesan- great sauce for green veggies such as broccoli and asparagus, or even for pasta. Thanks so much for sharing this one!

The Best Banana Bread

Lovely, easy recipe that comes out great consistently every time. My husband loves it. I always add a few teaspoons of rum, and walnuts too.

Chocolate Chocolate Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: May 19, 2006
These turned out great, everyone loved them. They're obviously very rich though, but hey that's what cookies SHOULD be! I used sweet cocoa but next time I think I will use unsweetened- there is enough sugar to make up the sweetness in the rest of the recipe.

Herb Baking Powder Biscuits

Reviewed: May 19, 2006
These turned out very good- fluffy and moist. I liked the Italian spices very much. I knocked off one star however because I think the recipe calls for way too much salt- next time I will use half a teaspoon, or less. Otherwise very good! Very quick to make which is major bonus, and goes with almost any meal.

Jesse and Steve's Fresh Strawberry Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
This was the first cake I've ever made on my own, so I was very happy when it came out tasting great. I added some fresh strawberries halved on top and sprinkled with almonds like the recipe said and it looked gorgeous. I baked it for my friend's birthday and since they had never seen me bake before no one believed I could bake something so good and nice looking! I also did what someone in a previous review did... some strawberries I mashed and some I just chopped up. I love this recipe because it's tasty, impressive, and impossible to mess up!
