Spiced Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
This is really good. I didn't have apple so excluded it. Added only 1 tsp. sugar and added 1 tsp. carraway seeds. It was wonderful. Really like to cooking method of the brief par-boil.

Orange Lobster Tail

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
This was really great. So often lobster cooking methods result in tough lobster. This was tender and succulent. To the sauce, I had added two chopped garlic cloves and a spring of parsley. As another reviewer suggested, I boiled down the cooking liquid and it was a nice dipping sauce.

Asparagus and Mushroom Frittata

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2013
I cooked bacon and used the drippings with some olive oil to begin sauteing the asparagus. I also added a little minced onion to the mix. Then I added the sliced mushrooms and continued to cook. Threw in a little fresh spinach leaves coarse chopped. To the egg mixture I added 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce. Very nice for a simple supper.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: May 3, 2013
Really nice. I am on weight reduction diet - my husband is not and does not like chicken breast. I prepared this for myself -- husband had sausage!!! My dinner was much better than his. I had a 6oz breast which was 6 points on Weight Watchers; still had point left for a glass of wine.

Healthier Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
This recipe is perfect if you want soft and flavorful cookies. The addition of whole wheat flour, less sugar, and no trans fats adds to my excitement of this recipe. My small 'grand'people are coming this week and I know it will be difficult to limit the number of cookies they will eat. They're gonna love them. Thanks for the recipe.

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
Hubby & I loved this recipe. I prepared the recipe as written. However, I had some leftover asparagus which I had cooked on the grill (nice and smoky flavor). I cut the asparagus into 1" pieces and added them. WOW. It's a very adaptable receipe. Thanks.

Banana Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2013
Very Good. I have been wanting to make something with pumpkin - it's that time of year! Since I had a couple of browning bananas, this was perfect. I added the walnuts but not the raisins. I also added 2 tsp. vanilla extract because I like vanilla in most everything.

Wonderful blend of flavor. I used chicken broth instead of water. Thanks for the recipe.

Beef Stir-Fry with Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
Thanks for the recipe. The blend of flavors in the sauce was perfect for my tastes. It's an easy recipe to adjust what veggies you use to accommodate what you have on hand.

Morgan's Waldorf Salad

I never thought of adding pear to a Woldorf, but really liked it. I did add a touch of salt and pepper. Will use this recipe again.

Really good stew. Next time I will add a couple of beef bouillon cubes to make the flavor richer.

Absolutely fabulous. Used this with Greek Salad at a Pot Luck dinner. It was the only dish brought that was totally consumed. Rave reviews.

Duck and Fontina Pizza With Rosemary and Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
This was so good. I used pre-cooked duck, made my own pizza crust, and cooked it on a charcoal grill. I think next time I will use the orange sauce that comes with the pre-cooked duck instead of the honey.
