Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
This is a GREAT recipe. It was quick, easy, and so flavorful! I used an extra half cup or so of breadcrumbs to get it to stick together better. We froze the other two and I'm looking forward to seeing how they do when we heat them up.

Tiramisu Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
YUM!!! I made this for my husband's birthday (his favorite desserts are Tiramisu and Cheesecake) and it was a huge hit. I agree that it doesn't taste all that much like Tiramisu, but the flavor is terrific. Added Vanilla wafers to the lady finges and that was tasty. Thanks for a great recipe.

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
This was absolutely delicious! Substituted Quorn tenders (chicken-like meat substitute that is phenomenal) for chicken, used vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. Thank you for this recipe!!!

Angie's Dad's Best Cabbage Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
I loved this recipe, and I love the fact that it keeps for a while too. I changed the ratio to make it for 6 instead of 20. I used a bag of cole claw mix, and added a shreadded carrot, onion, and celery. It was light and tangy. Thank you for the recipe!!!

Vegetarian Tortilla Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
This is a fantastic recipe. Instead of the green enchilada sauce I used Mexican Red Sauce from my Moosewood Cookbook. Added Quorn tenders chicken substitute, which has a very chicken-like texture, soaks up the flavor well. Easy, tasty, great!

Health Nut Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
I LOVE this recipe! I've tried a few variations. Once I added dried cranberries, and most recently I added walnuts and dark chocolate chips (which sort of detracts from the healthiness factor, but very yummy). I also add a little less nutmeg and add a bit of cinnamon. Great recipe!!

Aloo Phujia

Loved this recipe! I made it as part of an Indian meal and the potatos added a great spicy kick! Good as leftovers too. I think I'd cut down on the oil just a bit.

This cornbread is AMAZING. I made it exactly as specified and it was delicious (of course, anything with an entire stick of butter in it is bound to be pretty tasty :)

Whipped Cream

Just like my mom used to make :) Hard to think about ever using the canned/tubbed stuff after being reminded how good real whipped cream is!

Imitation Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
I love this recipe! It's become a staple at our house. The most recent time I made it I added Worcestershire sauce to the mix before baking, and drizzled hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce on top once it was almost finished cooking. Added a lot of zing. When preparing the lentis I also add a bit of black pepper to the water, which seems to spice up the overall flavor.

Southwestern Roasted Corn Salad

We ate this recipe every day for a week and I was sad to see the end of it. Don't try and use frozen or canned corn- it's totally worth cooking it on the grill.

This was such a great recipe!! I was a little skeptical, since the ingredients sounded a little bland for my taste, but it turned out to be so flavorful! The recipe took very little time to throw together, and leftovers were terrific. Really great!

This recipe has become a staple for my family! We love the flavor, and the ease of cooking. The sauce is wonderful! I substitute soy sausage and Morningstar Farms veggie crumbles for the meat, and even my carnivorous family can't tell the difference. Love it!

This recipe is stupendous- I could have eaten the whole bowl myself. I used light sour cream and light mayo, fresh dill weed (3 TBS), and left out the eggs. SO Delicious!
