About this Cook
I'm married, 28 years, have 2 grown daughters, 2 wonderful son-in-laws, and the most beautiful grand-daughters and precious grandson! I like people and I love to entertain.
My favorite things to cook
Baking would have to be my favorite because I love sweets! I like to learn new ways of doing things and love the past. I learned a lot about cooking from my mother and grandmothers and great grandmothers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holidays. You get together with family and friends and share good times, recipes, old traditions and new ones!
My cooking triumphs
My sister and I bake and decorate cakes. Seems simple enough but we have done our fair share of weddings over the years. Sharing it with her and making others smile because you helped make their special day special with a dessert just for them, be it birthday, anniversary, new baby, holiday or wedding, it does not matter.
My cooking tragedies
One time we (my sister and I) made our first pecan pie. It was really a good looking pie too! We were taking it to her company christmas dinner, a place where I had worked before her, so I was invited to come also. The therapist could not wait till lunch was over to cut that pie, he loved pecan pie. Well, after lunch, he cut it, he tried to anyway. The knife went in and the whole pie came out of the pan like a pie on a stick. Everyone looked, laughed and told us we needed to stick to baking cakes!

Squash Casserole II
This recipe is so good. It tastes just like the casserole at Black Eyed Pea! I did do one thing different though - instead of putting the crackers and cheese on top, I mixed them in with the rest of the ingredients and baked, it was sooooo good!

The Best Meatloaf I've Ever Made
Good meatloaf, very moist, even my husband liked it. I have used the same meatloaf recipe for 20 years and decided to venture and use something different. It was a good change!
