I'm a 19 year-old inquisitive soul. I am currently taking a semester off of school while i try to save money and figure out precisely what i want to do with my life. i love animals, sociology, reading, watching bullriding, live music, film, and, of course, cooking!
My favorite things to cook
scrumptious desserts and savoury vegetarian food! i prefer appetizers and lots of snacks to one big meal.
My cooking triumphs
my to-die-for brownies, arriabata pasta and garlic cheese bread, chocolate mousse cake, and fresh fruit smoothies!
My cooking tragedies
Living in university residence for three months nearly killed me as i had no access to a kitchen and relied solely on a not very vegetarian-friendly cafeteria for meals. Luckily i made friends with off-campus kitchens fast!

Arrabbiata Sauce
amazing sauce with a definite bite to it! i made this for my parents with garlic cheese bread and a salad for dinner one night and they loved it. i gave my mom the recipe and she made it using a different wine and it didn't turn out nearly as well. Make sure you use a nice italian wine for it. I always use Chianti Ruffino, which is also great to have a glass of while cooking!

Peanut Butter Fingers
These were really good! i had a craving for something chocolatey and peanut-buttery and this hit the spot! The cookie bottom is nice and chewy and the peanut butter drizzle is divine! I did find that i had lots of extra peanut butter drizzle when i had finished thoroughly drizzling the bars so i might half that part of the recipe next time. really good!
