Spinach Salad with Hot Bacon Dressing

This was truly amazing. Everyone at the table raved and I was sending them home with the recipe. Even small, picky children will eat their spinach if you make this one. It's often the simple recipes that are the best and this is definitely one I'll make often. Thanks, Chef John! Thanks for the video too.

Zippy Rice Pilaf

Beautiful side dish. Not difficult to make but results in great complimentary flavours that are not over powering. I didn't time other things correctly and it sat for a little which was too bad but it was still great. Will definitely make this again.

Roasted Vegetables

I use this recipe all the time - with a million variations and my family always loves it. I put in whole garlic cloves which they all fish for at the table, I will do just baby potatoes, onion and garlic as a more simple side dish sometimes and I often make it at the last minute and don't have fresh herbs on hand and I've used the dry variety without issue (although fresh is always best.)

Black Bean Salad

Wonderful, quick salad and it makes a large amount with little effort. Perfect for potluck. I omitted the pimento and added another avocado. It looked and tasted great.
