Oma's Rhubarb Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2012
I don't know much about rhubarb, but we grew it in our garden this year, so I had to find a use. This recipe was an excellent one!! It was gone from our house in two days. Very moist and not too strong on the rhubarb flavor. So good, in fact, that my husband said I couldn't make this too often or we'd gain too much weight! :)

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
This was my first time making lasagna from scratch and I followed the recipe to the letter. It turned out wonderfully! I couldn't believe how tasty my first attempt was. It did take a lot of time, but it was a fun Sunday afternoon at home. Think I might try making ahead next time as one of the other reviewers mentioned.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
I've made this twice now and it was wonderful both times. The first I made the sauce exactly as written, but with only two chicken breasts. There was plenty of sauce left over to have it over noodles the next night and it was awesome. The second time I made it was for company, who loved it too. Made it with 4 chicken breasts this time and it was just the right amount of sauce, so I'm not sure I would feel this was enough sauce for 6 chicken breasts. The sauce was thinner the second time too -- I'm not sure if that was due to more liquids from the additional chicken breasts or perhaps I cooked it at too high a temp on the stove....

Libby's® Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
I've made this three times now and I don't put any powdered sugar on the towel as it didn't seem to make any difference. I just use a regular cookie sheet with sides and it works fine, but I do use lots of non-stick spray and flour first to make sure it doesn't stick. The filling is fantastic and I think if you roll it right, there is the perfect amount.

Pasta Pascal

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
This was a great, light dinner. I added some browned ground turkey for my husband and that was a tasty addition without making it too heavy. I used canned, diced tomatoes after reading a review and it tasted great.

Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
This was awesome! I used Turkey Kielbasa to lower the calories and fat, and also added a small finely chopped white onion and 2 tblsp minced garlic and it was soooo good. The potatoes were a bit mushy, but I thought that tasted great! Served with french bread, this was easy, fast and tasty!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
This was exactly as the title says -- Easy and Awesome! The first time I made it, it was more like a dry pudding, but the hubby said he wanted it to be more like corn bread, so I used more of the corn bread mix and it was just as great!

Peppered Bacon and Tomato Linguine

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
I really liked this recipe, but the pepper from the bacon made it a bit too spicy for my husband. I will probably make this again but only use a bit of peppered bacon and either regular bacon or Italian sausage.

Breakfast Pies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
In my first attempt, I, too, used too much dough (Heart Healthy Bisquick was REALLY easy to use, but sticky to put in cupcake pan) and my eggs went over the edge. These were super tasty, though, so I tried again with about half as much dough in each cup and they were awesome! I just zap them in the micro for 30 seconds and I'm out the door in the morning!

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
This was fantastic! It was very easy -- I used canned cubed chicken and just threw the rest together in no time. We took it camping with us and ate it both plain and on bagels. Delicious!

Moroccan Tagine

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
This is a great recipe -- takes a while to prepare, but it's not difficult. I added a bit more cayenne because my husband prefers things spicier and it was wonderful. Couscous goes great with this. I just used a boxed couscous that took 5 mins to prepare.

Creamy Potato and Leek Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2006
This recipe is so easy and so good! My boyfriend adds chili powder or hot sauce, and I'm usually good with just adding salt and pepper. I tend to use more butter/margarine when cooking the leeks. Served with french bread makes for a perfect dinner!

Arroz Con Pollo Burritos

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2006
This one's great! We'll definitely have this again. Used the HOT Lawry's Taco Seasoning instead -- too hot for me. Tasted even better the next day!

Pizza Crust Fantastico

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2006
This one was great. We added another cup of flour. Couldn't find the corn flour either, so just used more of the others. The dough was super sticky even with the extra flour, but when all was said and done, we know we'll be using this one again.
