Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I *love* this icing! The results are similar to those huge shaped cookies they sell at grocery stores and coffee shops. If you have a sweet tooth like mine, try dipping the iced cookies in sparkling sugar before they dry. Yum!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
These are awesome and easy if you're looking for a scratch biscuit recipe. I often just drop them on the baking sheet rather than rolling and cutting them out since we have a small kitchen and usually more then one cook working at once. Everyone loves the results!

Famous Chicken Francaise

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
We love this dish and make it all the time. Quick, easy and we often just use bottled lemon juice instead of fresh, although I do prefer the latter. Try it tonight, you won't be disappointed!

Southwestern Haystacks

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
I keep making this so I must like it! It's a quick and easy dinner that everyone in the house enjoyed. I added half a chopped onion and a heaping teaspoon of chopped garlic to the browning hamburger in lieu of the garlic powder. I also used diced tomatoes with green chilies and a dash of chili powder for extra kick. I'm currently on a dairy-free diet and it tasted just fine without the cheese and sour cream. Enjoy!

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2007
This is a wonderful quick lunch recipe and was just enough to serve me, my husband and 2 year old daughter this afternoon. I scrambled the egg with a small bit of butter, used olive oil for sauteing and added a teaspoon of minced garlic to the onion and some peas for a green vegetable. Even though it was not recommended, I used freshly cooked minute rice and it turned out just fine. Proceed with caution on that advice though because it might depend on the right brand/style of rice to make it work properly.

Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
I just got finished making this recipe for the second time, this time as cupcakes! It turned out great both times and the cupcakes were done in about 30 minutes. Both times I used pecans instead of walnuts and added around a cup of raisins. Faboo!

Russian Tea Cakes I

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2006
Just like mom used to make with the exception that she called them Snowballs. Tasty! For a festive touch, sprinkle with clear edible glitter to make them sparkle!

Mary's Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2006
This is my first departure from our family recipe for thin cut-outs which I usually prefer. These cookies had a very nice flavor and were best not over browned. I use a baking stone and they seemed best at 7-8 minutes. This is a keeper, thanks!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
This is a very flavorful dish! You can adjust the heat by the taco sauce you chose, we usually go for mild. We always half the recipe and use a round pyrex container to cook it in. The other half of the ingredients get sealed in a glad container for a few days till we're ready to make it again.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2005
This is a really tasty recipe, so glad I came across it! I use potato buds in place of the real ones because I'm a new mom and, well, I actually like them, haha. I also add a cup of frozen mixed vegetables to the hamburger to get the greens in. Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Cocoa No-Bake Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2005
It's so hard to eat just one of these! I'm really glad to have found this recipe, as it has been a favorite of mine since I was a young girl. Simple and easy, the most difficult part is waiting for the cookies to set up. Enjoy!

Rosemary Marinated Lamb Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2005
I've been making this recipe for at least three years now, so I suppose it's about time I rated it. This is a wonderfully flavorful dish that would perform equally well at home with the family or when entertaining guests. The marinade is quick and easy to prepare, and it cooks up in a jiffy. Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Noodles

I was so happy to find this recipe! Its nearly identical to one which was served in a restraunt where I used to work. The dish was called Thai Chicken. To recreate it I addded shredded chicken breast, julianned carrots and purple cabbage. Really tasty either way!

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2000
I originaly printed the recipe from the Neiman Marcus site in 1997 - it gets raves every time I make it. Try using mini Hershey kisses and use the whole 10oz bag. This is a big decadent cookie and the extra chips make it even more so. Enjoy!

Gingerbread Boys

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2000
This is my first experience making gingerbread cookies and I was pleasantly surprised. I was dubious while preparing the dough, because it seemed so light in color, so I made a test cookie before chilling. At 9 minutes I had a wonderful lite cookie that was golden around the edges and slightly chewy in the middle. Yum! ...I don't have kids to test on, but I think they would like this recipe.
