My favorite things to cook
Variety, as once stated;" Variety is the spice of life". Having an array of culinary experience, from backyard bbq to fine dining/gourmet. I really can't chose one specific favorite.
My favorite family cooking traditions
It would have to be the Holidays throughout the year. The love of being able to prepare a 5 course meal including desserts, always excites me. The joy of having family and friends to share your artistic & specialities with as a whole.
My cooking triumphs
Triumph would have to be the fact that I have been working with the Food Industry for 24 + years; finally being given the position as an Executive Chef on one of the well known locations where the wealthy vacation & others visit throughout the year. (Jekyll Island, GA) Hard work, studies, and hands on work has finally paid off. I love my job, love to learn new everyday. Life is nothing more than a learning experience on a daily basis, we never stop learning. Cooking to me is an art in its own sense. The passion of one's inner self.
My cooking tragedies
LOL, I have one major tragedy that I had definately encountered. I was 4 years old & spending time at my Aunt & Uncle's home while my parents went to Mexico to visit relatives. My cousin Richard & I had decided we were going to play Chefs in the kitchen. We tried to make an omlette. We used every spice in the cabinet & mixed up alot of different foods in it, including chocolate. How was it? UGH! We got sick. Never did that again.
