Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
Amazing. I made a few changes but can't remember them. I will add more to this review when I make it again! :)

An amazing appetizer. I made it for a party and all of my friends loved it!

Avocado Corn Salad with Pine Nuts

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This recipe was alright, but nothing special. I made no changes to the recipe and felt it was sort of bland. It could have been the dressing I used. I do not plan on making this again. My boyfriend did enjoy the recipe but said the leftovers were uneatable.

Ali's Greek Tortellini Salad

Good recipe. Fun flavor. Will add to my monthly rotation. Might be a little strong on the onion flavor.

Classy Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
This recipe should be named 'dijon chicken' as that was the overall flavor. I really did not like the zucchini and the dish itself was boring. I did not make any changes to the recipe. I do not plan on adding this to my regular rotation.

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
Things turned out alright. I had problems with the cheese leaking out though. I made a couple batches: one single coated and one double coated. The double coated batch performed better, but still had problems. With as much fat as these possess I don't think I'll make these too often.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
Very good. I adjusted the cooking times because of the amount of time allotted and had no problems. This dish is very forgiving. I plan on adding this to my regular rotation.

California Italian Wedding Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
This recipe is wonderful. I recommend everyone trying it once. Due to ingredients I had on hand, I made a few changes: used dried basil and dried parsley instead of fresh; and used dried onions instead of green onions. If you do this you will need to scale down the quantity of those ingredients. This soup has awesome flavor and is very, very easy to prepare. I recommend scaling the recipe up, it says 6 servings, but my boyfriend and I ate all of it in one sitting.

Cheese Ravioli with Three Pepper Topping

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
Unlike most reviewers I found this recipe boring and not very exciting. The only changes I made was to sub an orange bell pepper for a green bell pepper and to add 2 cloves of garlic. I do not plan on making this again.

Chicken Pasta - Shannon Style

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
I enjoyed this recipe as it was unique and very different, my friend, not so much. I tried to follow the recipe exactly but there were some issues: my store was out of red bell peppers so I used yellow and green instead, I forgot to get fresh mushrooms so I used some sliced canned mushrooms from the pantry, I was short on pasta so I used only half the amount called for. I look forward to trying this recipe again and next time will follow it exactly. The greek dressing I used was "Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing" that can be found on this site. I am only giving this recipe four stars because the directions for breading the chicken was difficult (using a ziplock bag is/was much easier) and because it did not have a recipe for greek dressing.

The Best Meatballs You'll Ever Have

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2006
A great tasting recipe. I followed the recipe exactly as written. I did have trouble sauteing them so in the future I will cook them in the oven at 350° for 15 minutes, then add them to my homemade spaghetti sauce where they can simmer for a while. I plan on adding this to my regular rotation.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2006
This recipe was yummy and I will probably make it again. The only change I made was to use mozzarella cheese instead of Monterey Jack cheese. It had great flavor and was VERY easy to make. In the future I will only cook it on the frying pan for 3 to 4 minutes per side.

Italian Green Bean Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2006
This dish was decent, but sort of bland. I especially did not enjoy this dish the next day as leftovers. Based upon previous reviews I made a few changes: doubled the garlic, used italian-style diced tomatoes, and served over bowtie pasta tossed with olive oil, herbs, and parmesean. I probably will not make this recipe again.

Steak and Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2006
This is VERY, VERY good. It is easy to make and I have made it many times for parties and holiday events. I season the steak with a seasoning salt as it cooks. I also add 1/2 cup Gorgonzola cheese and I use halved cherry tomatoes instead of sliced tomatoes. I use the following for the dressing (can be found on this site): "Orange, Walnut, Gorgonzola and Mixed Greens Salad with Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette". I highly recommend this salad to everyone!

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2006
I followed the recipe exactly and I don't know what went wrong. This soup ended up being terrible and the ginger completely overpowered everything. It also tastes nothing like our local chinese restaurant. I will continue my search for an enjoyable Egg Drop Soup and never make this recipe again.

Cara's Creamy Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2006
I've now made this a couple of times and recommend the following changes: Scale the recipe (if necessary), triple the sauce, double the garlic, add some italian seasoning, melt Mozarella on top instead of the Romano. Delicious! I look forward to making this many, many more times.

Easy Chicken Coconut Curry

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
Close, but no cigar. This recipe turned out bland and lacked the flavor that I find in most thai food restaurants. I added a few cut up green beans and left out some of the cauliflower. I do not plan on making this recipe again.

Salmon in Creamy Silk Sauce

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
This recipe was fairly good. I was expecting more depth to the flavor. I definitely enjoyed trying something new and this was a method of preparing salmon I had not tried before. The only changes I made was to add a bit more onion and garlic. I may or may not make this recipe again.
