Guacamole

This recipe was excellent! I left out the cayenne, as some people could not eat that. Definitely a keeper, I will make again.

B.L.T. Salad with Basil Mayo Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2006
This recipe was excellent! Followed exactly, needed a bit more mayo and added the croutons at the very end to stay crispy. Very good. Will definitely be making again!

French Pastry Pie Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
Absolutely FABULOUS. Followed exactly but kept the dough in the fridge for about an hour. Rolled out between 2 sheets of saran wrap. Best pie dough ever! It's a keeper.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
I followed this pretty much the same. I did not use the liver. I used diced fresh cranberries instead of the dried ones. I think it would have been better with the dried ones. This was really tasty!

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
This is definitely the best french toast! Easy overnight recipe. I had it for a holiday brunch and people were loving it! It totally disappeared. I am making it for Christmas morning because the kids want it.....

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
This pie was excellent. I used Key Lime juice found in the supermarket. I brought it to a Jimmy Buffet Party and it was gone in an instant. I used a springform pan, 9 inches, and doubled the recipe. Made my own graham cracker crust. What a beautiful presentation. The only thing I would have changed was to add whipped cream to the top as a decoration.

Chocolate Mice

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
These were the hit of the party. Followed recipe exactly, using oreos as other have. I quadrupled the recipe and got 50 mice. Used for 3 different parties. Also used tootsie rolls halfed lengthwise, microwaved 10 sec and rolled into tails. These are very time consuming....but excellent tasting and very impressive for Halloween!

This pie is great with the touch of whiskey. I used a crumble topping instead of pie crust and it turned out delicious!

Lentil and Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
Excellent! Followed recipe almost exactly. Didn't have bay leaves, but this recipe was great! Instead of adding the pasta, I added 1/4 cup of barley. Delicious. I also used 1 lb. of chicken sausage.

Manicotti Alla Romana

The best manicotti recipe ever! Made it for a Christmas party and got rave reviews! I didn't cook the noodles at all and they were easy to fill. Baked 350° for 45 minutes. Amazing!

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
AMAZING! Time consuming, but worth it. I tripled the recipe. I got 20 eggrolls (which is exactly the amount of wrappers in the package). I also used a bag of shredded cabbage with carrots, plus 2 extra shredded carrots. Doubled the garlic, used fresh ginger and ground ginger. Excellent! Will definitely be making these again.

Dill Pickles

These are the best dill pickles I have ever made! Can't wait to make them again! EXCELLENT! Soaking the cukes in ice water for at least 2 hours makes sure they are super crunchy when you open the jar . . . even a year later!
