Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
This is a delicious apple crisp! I did cut down the white sugar to only 1/2 cup. I didn't have baking soda so doubled the powder. Excellent!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
I thought this recipe was very good. I used 6 thick boneless pork chops. Made recipe as followed except added more garlic powder and 2/3 c white wine. I cooked in oven for 30 min. Put the sauce on and cooked another 15 min. They were done perfectly and still juicy (I don't like dried out pork chops). I didn't give this a 5 star because I thought the crust would stay a little crunchy, they did not. The flavor was delicious though.

Cranberry, Sausage and Apple Stuffing

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
I did not like this stuffing at all. The reason may have something to do with using fresh diced cranberries as opposed to dried cranberries. Other than that I did not change the recipe though.

Creme Brulee French Toast

This is definitely the best french toast! Easy overnight recipe. I had it for a holiday brunch and people were loving it! It totally disappeared. I am making it for Christmas morning because the kids want it.....

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
This pie was excellent. I used Key Lime juice found in the supermarket. I brought it to a Jimmy Buffet Party and it was gone in an instant. I used a springform pan, 9 inches, and doubled the recipe. Made my own graham cracker crust. What a beautiful presentation. The only thing I would have changed was to add whipped cream to the top as a decoration.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
Excellent! 5 Star. I made 3 pans for a Christmas party and everyone loved it. I ended up freezing one pan and that came out excellent as well. I crushed my fennel seed though as I don't like the whole seeds.

This was delicious. The only exception would be to not cook as long as it will dry out.

Chinese Napa Cabbage Salad

This is an excellent recipe! I also grated carrots into it. I did not put the dressing on until right before serving. I had my supper club over and it was ahuge hit! I also tossed some toasted sesame seeds on top.

Tropical Turkey Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
This meatloaf is excellent! I changed a few things though. I used oatmeal instead of bread crumbs and 3/4 c. egg substitute and a 16 oz. can crushed pineapple. I let the oatmeal soak up the egg and 1 c. of pineapple. For the sauce, I doubled the ingredients and didn't have a jalapeno so instead used a pinch of cayenne pepper. I also heated the sauce in a microwave for 1 min. This was fabulous! I will make it again!

Dill Pickles

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
These are the best dill pickles I have ever made! Can't wait to make them again! EXCELLENT! Soaking the cukes in ice water for at least 2 hours makes sure they are super crunchy when you open the jar . . . even a year later!

Hot Pepper Jelly

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
This is great tasting pepper jelly and I get raves with it. The only problem is it did not set up. Next time I will do as others have mentioned and use 2 packages of powdered pectin.
