Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
This was awesome! I did make some changes. I deglazed the pan with 1/2 c. cooking sherry and then added the onion, garlic and 1 sweet red pepper. Sauteed them for about 5 min. then added chicken boullion, water and tomatoes. I subbed the spinach for collard greens. This is definitely a keeper.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
I am giving this only 3 stars on account of there was very little flavor. I used 2 cans of Irish Stout. Added water until meat was covered. I used the gray flat cut without the added spices in the pouch. I added pickling spice. Just didn't get the flavor I was looking for.

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
AMAZING! Time consuming, but worth it. I tripled the recipe. I got 20 eggrolls (which is exactly the amount of wrappers in the package). I also used a bag of shredded cabbage with carrots, plus 2 extra shredded carrots. Doubled the garlic, used fresh ginger and ground ginger. Excellent! Will definitely be making these again.

Sweet and Sour Pork III

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
This recipe was AMAZING! I followed exactly except used boneless chicken instead of pork. I also did as other suggested and did not combine everything together until the meal was ready to be served and then I placed the chicken on the top. Will definitely make again!

Ham Salad Spread

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
I gave this 5 stars! I love this recipe and so does my family. I left out the egg. I used Hellmans real mayo. I only used 1/4 of a sweet onion. Put everything in the food processor, except for the sweet relish. This was fabulous! I made some grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with this using fresh bread, cheese on either side of the ham, grilled with butter.....YUM! Also great on crackers or just by itself.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
My daughter made this. She is 18. The taste was excellent. I think she may have used too much oil. I will definitely make again and add some cream as others have suggested.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
This recipe is bland as is. I used 2 cans of Campbells cream of chicken soup, 2 cups of chicken broth. 4 sliced carrots. I also used bisquick for the dumplings. Cooked chicken for 4.5 hours added dumplings and cooked another 1/2 hr. I would defintely add herbs next time.

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
This recipe was so delicious my family ate the loaf in one sitting. I did make the mistake of adding the butter into the dough and then again putting it on top. Next time I'll just put it on top. I used a dark beer. Just fabulous!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
I followed this pretty much the same. I did not use the liver. I used diced fresh cranberries instead of the dried ones. I think it would have been better with the dried ones. This was really tasty!

Butternut Squash Bisque

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
I only gave this 4 stars because it was very salty when made as is. I doubled the recipes. I roasted the squash and carrots (sprinkled butter and cin. sugar on the carrots and wrapped in tinfoil). After sampling final product, I sauteed 2 gala apples and pureed them into it. Still salty. I then added about 4-6 tbsp. of maple syrup. Plus about 2 tbsp of cream sherry. I also added about 1 tbsp of cinnamon. It was very good after this and got rave reviews at my dinner party.

Chocolate Mice

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
These were the hit of the party. Followed recipe exactly, using oreos as other have. I quadrupled the recipe and got 50 mice. Used for 3 different parties. Also used tootsie rolls halfed lengthwise, microwaved 10 sec and rolled into tails. These are very time consuming....but excellent tasting and very impressive for Halloween!

Banana Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
This is one of the best Pumpkin breads I have ever had. I only had one banana so and that turned out just fine. I used a little more pumpkin. I put plump raisins and pecans. Very good!

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
I changed this recipe a bit. I cooked the hamburger and drained it. I excluded the egg and milk on account of not having 8 hours in a crock. I added 3 cloves of garlic and 2 tbsp of oregano and 2 tsp garlic salt. I did not use their sauce recipe but used 2 cans of diced tomatoes and put some on the bottom of the crock first then alternating layers of rolls. This recipe was SO GREAT! My family all went back for seconds. Definitely a KEEPER!

Apple Crisp II

This is a delicious apple crisp! I did cut down the white sugar to only 1/2 cup. I didn't have baking soda so doubled the powder. Excellent!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
I thought this recipe was very good. I used 6 thick boneless pork chops. Made recipe as followed except added more garlic powder and 2/3 c white wine. I cooked in oven for 30 min. Put the sauce on and cooked another 15 min. They were done perfectly and still juicy (I don't like dried out pork chops). I didn't give this a 5 star because I thought the crust would stay a little crunchy, they did not. The flavor was delicious though.

Cranberry, Sausage and Apple Stuffing

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
I did not like this stuffing at all. The reason may have something to do with using fresh diced cranberries as opposed to dried cranberries. Other than that I did not change the recipe though.
