Traditional cooking, southern, is probably my favorite....nothing really fancy unless the need arises. I love fresh, local foods and tend to stay with that. I also tend to reach back and use the old tried and true recipes from My Mom & G'Mother's books...I have just started a blog by request to share old recipes, tried and true favorites with those who might be surfing! Anything my family loves, but their absolute favorite is anything they help to grow, harvest and make....they love the traditional southern meals, everyone gathered at the table sharing stories, time and food. Having My hubby, Mom, myself, and kids in the kitchen...we love to get together for big meals around a huge old farm house table, talk, reminisce...it's very familiar and very comfortable. Yay, I mastered my hubby's favorite dessert!!! Creme' Brulee !!! Although, he still loves the favorite standbys...Cobblers, fried pies, fruit crumbles.... Wow......learning to use a smoker...that was years ago, but we wasted a lot of money and a lot of food!! The dogs got fatter!
