About this Cook
I'm only sixteen yet my dream is to be a chef. I love to cook it started out as a chore then it became a hobby with me cooking for holidays and guests!!
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake, bake, and bake. I love to make tarts, cookies, danishes, muffins, cakes, pies ohhhhh don't get me started!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Don't really have any other than no one is allowed in the kitchen except me!
My cooking triumphs
My first Easter dinner we had the family and two friends! I made cornish hens, a honey ham, macaroni and cheese, string beans, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, gravy, and this delicous carrot cake all was made from scratch I was pooped from doing it all by myself, but the look on everyone's face was worth it.
My cooking tragedies
Using different ovens is horrible. At about 11 years old I was a cookie champ, lol. I had my twenty recipes and loved to whip them up to hear people say "ohhh my goodness this girl knows how to make a cookie"! Well my mom has a friend in Indiana that we visited for a week and they wanted some of my "famous" cookies. Being 11 I thought all ovens and ingredient brands were the same and all needed to know was 350 degrees F. I made the dough (using their supplies not my nestle but generic)then put the cookies in. I could smell them, they weren't ready yet I thought they still have 5 minutes. I opened up the even and they were so dark the whole family made jokes about my cookies and still to this day they wont let me cook for them. This was so embarrassing!
