World's Best Lasagna
The teenaged boys and girls at cross country gobbled this one right up. Good and filling. I sub two 26 oz boxes of tomatoes for the can of crushed tomayes and 2 cans of tomato sauce. I like using fresh basil and I don't bother cooking the noodles. With the flat noodles I use, 4 per layer is good. I should remember the trick of making it the day before and cooking the next day. When I've been in a rush, I have skipped the simmering and it's been fine. P

Drunken Mussels
I followed the recipe exactly, using Pinot grigio for the wine. And it was a bit less than ok. My guests liked it, though, so it gets 3 stars. Maybe if I used beer?
