Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2009
This was FABULOUS!! I used 2-16 oz packages of vegetables for soup, (peas, corn, potatoes, carrots, okra, green beans, lima beans, onions, and cabbage). I put them in a pan and covered them with chicken broth and boiled with the celery. I boiled the chicken separately and after it cooled I shredded it. I do not have a deep dish pie plate so I had enough for 2 pies. I will definitely make this again. I invited family members and got rave reviews!! A++++++

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
AWESOME! The pork chops were moist and juicy. I tasted the mushroom sauce before adding it to the casserole dish and was SURE that I was not going to like it. I was very pleasantly surprised. Also reduced cooking time. After 1/2 hour added the sauce and cooked for an additional 1/2 hour. This will be a regular for us!!!

Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
Surprisingly good with a few alterations. I omitted the tomato soup and like others, added a jar of salsa instead. Also used 2 cans of diced tomatoes. The topping was crunchy and delicious. My husband loved it.

My Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
Absolutely delicious. I don't like kidney beans so I used navy beans instead. Used just one tsp of salt. Topped with cheddar cheese with cornbread on the side. AWESOME!

Cordon Bleu Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
This recipe is a keeper! My husband and I loved it. Next time I will just pour butter over chicken rolls in baking dish, then sprinkle with italian bread crumbs (used instead of corn flakes).

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
Absolutely delicious. I made no changes to the recipe. I put potatoes and onions in the bottom of the crock pot. This I will be making OFTEN. I might also try it on a beef roast.

Meatloaf with Fried Onions and Ranch Seasoning

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
EXCELLENT! I have never been a big fan of meatloaf but my husband and daughter love it. When I was a child my mother often made stuffed meatloaf. With the herb flavored bread mix, it tasted very much like hers. This will be my standard meatloaf recipe. Quick, easy to prepare and delicious.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2008
Easy and delicious. I WOULD RATE THIS A 5+++++++++++. I used a 49.5 oz can of chicken broth instead of water. Also added 2 celery stalks and a bay leaf to season the broth. Added biscuits about 1.5 hours before eating. DELICIOUS.

Mom's Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
I followed this recipe to a "T". It was awful. I tried to doctor it up. I hate to be critical but this was REALLY BAD.

5++++++++++++++++++!! I parboiled ribs in beer with a little water. Best barbeque sauce my husband and I have ever eaten. Can't wait to try it on chicken.
