About this Cook
Im 13 years old. Ever since I took home ec. at school, I have been obsessed with cooking. I live with my brother, sister, mom, and dad. I am the baby of the family:)My friends and family mean everything to me. I am going into 8th grade this year (2006) with is very exciting. I look forward to cooking more and learning more.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. Muffins, cookies, but paticulary breads. When I get older I hope to own my own bakery.
My favorite family cooking traditions
At my grandma and grandpa's house in Mississippi, my grandma would always cook spaghetti in her secret sauce. I would assist her in the kitchen. Now evertime we visit, we make the spaghetti.
My cooking triumphs
On Easter, I made pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. I brang them to church too. My sister told me that they probably would not be eaten because they were competing with the donuts that were there as well. When I came to pick up the muffins at the end of the service, they were all gone, sitting next to a tray full of donuts!
My cooking tragedies
I got a peanut butter cookie recipe from my home ec. teacher. I made them for my aunt that I was going to visit, while I was home alone. Well, the first time I tried making them I burnt the whole batch:(

Irish Ginger Snaps
i had an international food festaval at school and my country was ireland. i took these cookies and they were a big hit. a couple thing i found odd though was that the cookies did not spread out and i had to bake them for 10 minutes. anyways thanks for this recipe it is definetly a keeper.
