Whipped Shortbread Cookies

These totally melt in your mouth. Next time I will add vanilla to it, then they would be a 5 star recipe.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
I just finished making a whole berry strawberry pie and had leftover strawberries. I looked at this and was a little frightened, as once before I tried to melt chocolate and it failed miserably. I put my pan on the stove on low heat and melted the shortening, then added the chocolate chips, worked beautifully. I called my family in to try my "new recipe", no one came...they are cautious over my attempts to make them guinea pigs. My 12 year old finally came in and devoured them saying "its a keeper mom". Happy Mothers day to me!!

WOW!! I am a soup person, I LOVE soup. This soup is amazing. I did not change a thing. I even called a friend whom had hurt her back to see if I could bring her over soup, just so I could share it. Thanks for the great recipe!

These are wonderful. I dipped once into the flour mixture and twice into the breadcrumb mixture. My 10 yr old son devoured them, and they got the tumbs up from my boyfriend. These are way better then store bought, and at a fraction of the price ! mmmmmm goood

Cheesy Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2006
Wonderful. I think I liked this recipe so much becuase I abosultely love potato skins, and this is pretty much all the ingredients (except tomato). I read the reviews about the sugar, and should have listened because I found it too sweet, but managed to tone it down with vinegar. I also added way more bacon then the recipe called for, and salting the water is a must. I'm suppose to be bringing this to my stepdaughters b-day party tonight, only if I can stop picking at it in the fridge !!

We really loved this recipe. Hubby really liked it and is glad there are leftovers. I used fresh basil along with the dried as we have alot in the garden, along with some salt and pepper as I did not have any thyme. I will definetly make this again (lots since we have ton of zucchinni in the garden!) Thanks fo rthe recipe

Simple Savory Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2006
Very good. I followed the others advice and rubbed it with olive oil, then seasonings. I used fresh pressed garlic, seasoning salt, and basil because I had no thyme. I also did this in my electric rotiserie instead of the oven and my husband says its the best roast we ever had. Thanks !

Rhubarb Stir Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
Wonderful ! I'm glad I read the reviews on this because it is VERY thick when you put it into the pan. I made 3 loaves instead on one big cake and I used cinnimon istead of nutmeg, very yummy! Everyone always gives me rhubarb and I try to pawn it off on others, now Im asking people for excess rhubarb to make this cake!

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
WOW, I love the raspberry sauce ! We barbqued the pork chops instead of frying them. If you planning to make this, if possible, I would make the sauce the day before and refridgerate. I had sauce left over and reheated it the next day and the flavours had blended way more, and it was fantastic, from now on I will make the sauce the day before.

Cheddar and Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2006
I really liked the mayonnaise, sour cream and milk part of this recipe as it is much lighter than just mayonnaise. However we found that it needed "something" to zip it up a bit. When trying this for the second time I mixed the mayo, sour cream and milk together and added in approx. 1 tbsp prepared pesto. That did it, now we love this recipe.
