Avocado Shrimp Ceviche-Estillo Sarita

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2006
This is the BEST ceviche we've had-Hand's Down! I used fresh lime & lemon juice. Got the shrimp from Costco. We served on tostada shells with a layer of mayonaise. We will be making this again and again.

Roasted Almonds Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
I had heard that Sweet Potatoes are so much better for you than plain potatoes. I wanted to give them a try and used this recipe. I made it almost as directed (maybe a little more garlic and chopped raw almonds). These were a big hit! Light and delicious! Will make again and again!

Julie's Famous Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
I'm sorry but it did not wow me. I halfed the recipe(per the calculator), maybe that's why- but waay too creamy cheesy curdy for me. I am looking for what Grandma used to make with chewy buttery mac with cheesy cheddary chunks. It is as others described very rich compared to boxed mac n cheese. Not our bag of tea. UPDATE- If you pour Tomato Bisque over it. It tastes like a grown up version of Spaghetto-O's. I was a big fan as a child and we didn't have to throw out leftovers.

Alysia's Basic Meat Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
It made a ton- easy to make. Very filling! Minus 1 star=Too bland for us. That's probably not the recipe problem, but my choice in sauces. I agree with other reviewers double the sauce otherwise it would've been too dry. I also added a 1/2 pound of Italian sausage. I did not cook noodles first and their texture was perfect.

Chocolate Surprise Cupcakes

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
These are absolutely delicious! Moist-Rich-Yum-O! I was a bit frightened but the thin runny consistency of the chocolate batter and the fact that only the cream cheese filling had egg. I had a semi sweet bar on hand that I shaved instead of using choc chips. I took other reviewers advice and put about 1/3 of choc batter, then a scoop of filling and covered with choc batter. I baked on Thursday, refrigerated airtight and frosted friday morning with Orange Cream Cheese Frosting. Oh my goodness are they delicious!! - wait did I say that already? I don't know how you can go south with this recipe if you follow directions. Thank You OP!

Sausage and Apple Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
I used maple flavored sausage. Made the house smell AWESOME! I assembled the night before so it was easy cheesy to pop in the oven in the morning. The bread seemed a bit soggy so take heed with what other reviewers recommend by letting it sit before eating- it got more dense the longer it sat. If I reviewed yesterday I would've given it 3 stars. But the fact that while in church I could smell maple in my head and was looking forward to leftovers raised it to a 4 star review! I will be making this again!! Loved the apples and sausage!

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
This is D-Lish! I have always had trouble with gravy clumping but by adding flour first and then mixing in milk it was perfection! Hint have your milk close at hand because the flour thickens quickly! Thank You Poster!

Cider Pork Chop Dinner

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
If it was up to me I would give 5 stars because I LOVE vinegar. Unfortunately the Hubby was overwhelmed by it, he didn't even finish his plate. So I gave 3 stars to be right in the middle. I made it as directed- felt bad he did not enjoy as much as I did. This is a recipe for vinegar lovers. The meat fell off the bone, was so tender you could cut with a fork.

Cafeteria Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
LOVED this! I like mac & cheese that is chewy with crunch-like my Grandma would make, not all slimy like kraft. Instead of the buttered bread crumbs I just crushed some Ritz crackers on top. Will definitely make again.

Roasted Rack of Lamb

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
Love this recipe! My husband LOVES to have lamb whenever we go to a nice restaurant. I had never attempted lamb before so I was a bit nervous. The first time I made it he was WOWED by my lamb cooking skills! Today will be my fourth time making it for him. I do the recipe exactly as written and have been thrilled every single time.

A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
My plan was to put my turkey in the rotisserie, only to discover that morning it was too long! My option was to cut down his legs or find another way to cook him. Thank you to the poster of this recipe. I followed directions exactly and everyone thought I had been cooking turkey's for years! The white meat was perfectly moist. Thank you for a Wonderful Christmas Meal!

Pasties II

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2013
Yum! I didn't have rutabega-but it was delish with steak, potato and carrots (garlic and parsley). I was worried about everything cooking by putting it in raw-it turned out amazing! I had left over filling too. Served with brown gravy! Will definitely make again!
