Anything southern; anything from my grandmother's cookbooks. I especially love making all kinds of desserts because I have a sweet tooth in the worst way! I also enjoy mediterranean foods as I spent over 3 years working in a mediterranean cafe in central Florida. Finally have my tabbouleh, babaganouj, and hummus recipes perfected!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Entertaining church members at home with from scratch homemade vanilla ice cream and saucepan brownies from secret family recipes (sorry, I won't be sharing these!)
My cooking triumphs
I was complimented on my pineapple-coconut cake by my grandmother (it's her recipe and her favorite cake)
My cooking tragedies
I misread the measuring cup and added too little sugar to my saucepan brownies and inadvertently created a bland chocolate sheet cake!
