Southern Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
This was AMAZING! The one thing I learned is to not blend with a mixer. Blend it by hand with a spoon so that it's nice & think rather than baby food texture. :D Absolutely wonderful! I made a double batch of it for Thanksgiving & love it so much that I used the rest of my squash to make us a batch of it for dinner tonight! :D Oh, and it was so good without the topping that I didn't even bother with that, although I know it would be even more amazing!

Maria's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
AWESOME! My husband & I LOVED these! I didn't include my kids because love isn't even a strong enough word for how much my kids liked these! 2 cucumbers wasn't enough for them, but if I'd made enough to make them happy, they'd have been sick! FANTASTIC recipe!!! THANKS SO MUCH for sharing!!!

Healing Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
This was SO good! My 5 year old son asked for 3 bowls! My other kids didn't care for it, but they did eat some which was amazing all in itself! They hate everything that was in it. :D I did add carrots to our pot. It was just what we were needing last night. Thanks for the great recipe!

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
I made these with White Chocolate & served them with the Snow Flake Cocoa for desert at our New Years Eve party. It went over GREAT! Everyone loved them, and I was wishing I'd made a double batch! I just threw the cream & cookies together in my food processor, rolled balls, dropped them in the melted white chocolate, carefully rolled them around, and scooped them up with a fork. Worked great!

Before I added the noodles, it was exactly like the soup I eat and LOVE at the Japanese Hibachi restaurants! Thanks a bunch!

Stuffed Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
5 out of 6 people in my family absolutely loved this which is a HUGE feat! My super super picky eater picked at it and only didn't like the ricotta, so next time I'll leave the ricotta out of a few for him. I added ground beef & I made my own sauce (out of tomato sauce & paste) with garlic, onion powder & Italian seasoning. It was absolutely fantastic, and I don't even like style Italian foods! :D

Slow Cooker Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
My husband, 2 of my 3 boys (which is a huge feat!) and my toddler daughter ALL loved this! My SUPER picky eater son at it all which is saying something! I didn't change anything in the recipe except I only had 1 can of mushroom soup so I substituted with celery soup, but I'm sure it's wonderful with 2 cans of mushroom too!

Light Oat Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
This is Sensational!!! I didn't do a THING to the recipe, and it turned out absolutely perfect! I mad my husband his favorite brownies yesterday, and the bread was ready last night night. He said he loved the bread so much, he'd actually rather have 2 pieces of the bread instead of the brownies! The kids love it too!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
Amazing! I didn't think I'd love banana bread without nuts, but I think I love it more like this! I just recently became allergic to pecans, so I'm SO glad I found such a delicious and moist banana bread recipe! Thanks a bunch! It was SUPER fast and easy to throw together, too!

Farmhouse Barbecue Muffins

These are fantastically amazing! We loved the bit of sweetness. We made these with a side of mac'n'cheese for lunch, and all 4 of my picky kids and my picky husband LOVED them! I'm a super busy mom, and this was a super quick and easy lunch for me to prepare. Thanks for the recipe!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
This was AMAZING and amazingly EASY!!! My family, including my 4 kids (2-7) absolutely loved the pizza and the dough. I did add Italian seasoning and garlic to the dry ingredients. Thank you THANK you for this wonderful and easy recipe. With 4 kids, we hardly have time to cook, much less cook far enough in advanced to let pizza dough rise, and we can't usually afford enough pizza for all of us (that tastes any good at least). We will be making this for just about every pizza night (unless we HAVE to get carry-out). Definitely 5 stars for anyone wanting something super fast and super super easy.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
These were AMAZING! I double this recipe and I used the same recipe for carrots. The carrots needed to cook about 10mins longer, but it all turned out just awesome! I made them for Thanksgiving dinner (for 30) as a non-cheese loaded/non-canned cream soup loaded side. Everyone was so happy that I made them, and everyone absolutely LOVED it! Even the picky ones! Oh yeah, The next day, I ate them cold right out of the fridge, and they were so good, I couldn't stop eating them long enough to warm them up! :D

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
My 6 year old son made these while I instructed him. They turned out GREAT! I took others' suggestions and added more vanilla (1 1/2tsp instead of 1), but other than that, they were amazing! They were the perfect size to give to my kids, too!

Jalapeno Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
This is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I have a favorite jam that I make every year for gifts, but I'm going to have to make a huge batch of this instead this year! My husband and I have a really hard time not completely tearing through an entire jar (I put it in 1/4 pint jars) in one sitting. :D YUM!

Carol's King Ranch Casserole

Reviewed: May 6, 2009
This was absolutely EXCELLENT! I did make a couple of changes, though. I used what I had on hand. I used onion powder instead of onions (family doesn't like onions and bell peppers). I also used Rotel chili fixings instead of just tomatoes. I also used 1 can of kidney beans (no chili beans) and a can of refried beans. It turned out absolutely awesome! My whole entire family ate it (not too spicy). Even my picky kids and my toddler loved it.

Jelly-Filled Muffins

This was great! I made these instead of cupcakes for my son's school birthday party. The kids loved it, and several grown-us did too! A healthier and more popular substitute for cupcakes!
