Lobster Bisque

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
This tasted like onion soup. I also didn't enjoy the amount of chunky in the soup. I did chop the onions rather than slice. Since I didn't like the full size of the onions I put the soup in a blender to make it creamy. I thought 'bisque' is a creamy soup not chunky. Not sure if I will make this again.

Seafood Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
I can't believe I didn't like this at all. Maybe it was because I used canned crab meat. I love seafood but for some reason this was so "fishy" that I didn't enjoy it. My husband thought it was okay. It was easy to make which I liked. I might try it again and see what I can do to tweek it to my liking.

Asian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
Excellent! My husband and I really enjoyed this. I enjoyed how easy it was. I didn't want to buy Chili Paste since I don't like spicy and wasn't sure how spicy it would be so I used some Chili Powder instead about 1 teaspoon. I also started late on marinating so it marinated for 6 hours and I used both tenderloins and marinated in a resealable bag. It was plenty of marinade. I did use the leftover marinade, heated it up on the stove and added about a 1/2 T cornstarch to thicken it. I noticed a few reviews mentioned how the marinade burned on the foiled pan, I don't know if you poured all the marinade onto the pork on the pan, I just took the pork out and put on a lined foiled pan sprayed with cooking spray. This worked out fine, the pork didn't stick and the cleanup was easy since I tossed the foil.

Italian Subs - Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
I did enjoy this. I was starving and in a rush to eat this so I didn't marinate the salad. I used sandwich thins for the bread, brushed it with the dressing added the meats and cheese and then toasted it. Then I added the tomatoes and more dressing, I forgot the pickles and purposely left off the the lettuce. I really enjoyed the meats and cheese, feel like the dressing needed a little more flavor. I will make it again and add more season to the dressing, and the pickle.

Apple Brie Quesadillas

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
Love this combination. This was easy and delicious. I used Gala apples, sliced them and the onion on a mandalyn. Once assembled I finished it off in the quesadilla maker.

Rustic Autumn Fruit Tart

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
Fabulous. I used a premade crust and used allspice instead of cardamom. I also sprinkled some sugar on the crust before I added the fruit. I used Orange Marmelade instead of Aprico Jam, I bought the wrong thing, but it was very nice and still gave the tart the shine. Will definately make this again.

Hudson's Baked Tilapia with Dill Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
This was good. My only complaint was the Dill sauce was too strong of a mayo flavor. I will reduce that next time.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
Well so much for my diet. Haha. These were fantastic. Easy to make. I think dipping the doughnuts in the butter before the cinnamon sugar is not necessary. I ran out of butter so about 7 doughnuts didn't get dunked in the butter just the cinnamon sugar and it still stuck to them and was perfect and I actually enjoyed more than the ones dipped in butter. Try it, see what you think. Well, I am now going to go run around the block to burn off the calories.

Very good and very easy. I loved the Blue Cheese butter. I forgot the chives so had to leave that out, and I used a wedge of Lauging Cow Blue Cheese.

Banana Crepes

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
I am rating the banana filling only here. It was fantastic! Very easy and quick to make. However, I made the sauce as directed per measurements, I did use milk instead of 1/2 1/2, and I only used one banana sliced in thin rounds. There was plenty of sauce and I wonder if using 6 banana's would there be enough sauce? Eitherway, fantastic and will be making this again.

Pineapple Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
I forgot about this recipe until my friend mentioned angel food cake one day. I had to find a recipe for temperature directions. I made this as directed and the center of my cake fell out of the pan when I flipped it over. Making another one as I type this and I didn't spray the pan this time. Hope it works. Cake is easy and delicious!

Grecian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
This was excellent! Very easy to make, once you juice all the limes. :) I did use fresh limes from my lime tree and used 1 1/4 cup of juice. I marinated for 2 hours but will definately do 5 hours next time for more flavor. Cooked 30 minutes and it came out perfect. This is being added to my 'favorite' folder.

Spicy Honey Mustard Sausage Wraps

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
This is a very easy recipe. However, the only thing I did not like was the inside of the puff pastry was soggy. I cooked them until golden which was 25 minutes. So as a result the puff pastry kept falling off making it messy. I used mild pork sausage and dijon mustard instead.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
These didn't work for me. I made red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and white chocolate. I cooled the cake mixture in the frig before rolling in the chocolate and they fell apart completely in the chocolate. So no luck for me and I am really bummed because these sounded so good. Oh the mixture actually was very tasty, my hubby ate some right out of the bowl.
