Grilled Salmon

Excellent and easy recipe. I needed a last minute recipe so I didn't have the green onions or fresh parsley, I used dried parsley instead. The salmon was delicious. I did pair it with an avocado dip from another salmon recipe and the two together were outstanding.

Grilled Salmon with Avocado Dip

I hope no one gets upset that I am only rating the avocado dip in this recipe. I don't like dill or lemon pepper season so I didn't make this salmon, I used another salmon recipe. However, I made this avocado dip to use with my other recipe and the avocado dip is outstanding! I love the flavors and with the salmon it was delicious.

Italian Chicken Sausage Stuffed Portabellas

These were crazy good, that is exactly what my husband said and I agree! I used Publix mild turkey sausage and accidentally used plain cream cheese. If these were good without the flavored cream I can't wait to try it with the cream cheese.

Chocolate Mint Dessert Brownies

These were very good but not excellent. I thought the brownie was okay but it needed a kick of flavor or something. I do like my brownies cakey so these were perfect as for that. The mint layer was good, I added 3T of creme de menthe and was still a bit disappointed that it was not mintier. The chocolate layer I used 3 flavors, semi, milk and dark, all equaling 1 cup. I also then added 1T peppermint schnapps to try an add more mint flavor. All in all, I will make these again and all my guests loved them. Oh, I did add green color to the sugar frosting for St Patricks Day.

Cocoa Banana Bars

These are very good, cake like bars. For those who think the pan size is too large these bars rise and spread so stay with the larger pan. I also baked mine for 20 minutes and that was perfect. I made one change with the ingredients, I used 3/4 cups sugar instead of 1 cup.

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Very good recipe, nice flavor. I doubled the marinade and then used it to baste the pork. I highly recommend you line your pan with foil. The mariande burns easy and smokes up the kitchen.

Baby Back Ribs

Finally! I never knew how to make ribs where they fall off the bone. Very excited about this recipe. Easy and wonderful. I did add more bbq sauce at the very end and broiled the meaty part of the ribs to get them all sticky and a bit crunchy. Also don't forget to pull of the thin layer of "skin" on the underside of the ribs so everything really falls off and you don't have that tough skin while eating.

Banana Rum Biscotti

Very good biscotti. The dough was a bit sticky, floured hands or Pam sprayed hands will be helpful when forming into shape. The only change I made with the ingredients is I used 2 cups white flour and 1 1/2cups whole wheat flour. For the second round of baking I did bake 25 minutes each side.

Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

This was delicious. As many other reviews wrote the outside of the cake almost gets over cooked and the inside where the cake and cheesecake meet get a bit undercooked. This is true but everything is still edible. I left out the almonds and doubled the raspberry jam.

Teriyaki Pineapple Turkey Burgers

These were very good. I used ground ginger instead of fresh. The only problem I had was the meat (turkey) was so moist that it fell through the grill and I lost a good amount of burger. Will make these again.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Great, easy, bar cookie. I halved the recipe and used a 9x13 pan. They took about 20 minutes to cook. I also used half milk chocolate chips and semi-sweet.

Butternut and Apple Harvest Soup

I do admit I hated chopping all the ingredients up. This soup was really very good and I am glad I made it. I do think it needed just a bit more flavor but not sure what to add season wise. I will definately make this again.

Mini Poppy Seed Loaves

Very good. I did double the poppy seeds as other reviewers recommended. I also added some lemon juice, about 1 teaspoon to bump up the lemon flavor. The end result is a very nice bread. Next time I might add a lemon glaze or add even more lemon juice.

Almond Chicken Salad

Enjoyed this recipe. I made a whole chicken from this site and used that as the chicken. The few changes I made where I omitted the red pepper and cilantro and used white wine vinegar. I was hoping to have leftovers but my hubby and I ate the entire thing for dinner. :)
