Valentino's Pizza Crust

I love this recipe for many reasons. My biggest ones though are it's easy and fast! I have made others and I do love them but I hate waiting for them to rise. This one is so easy and you are putting your pizza in the oven in 15 minutes. I did bake my pizza on a pizza stone and it came out fantastic. This is great recipe for a quick dinner or one of those days when you all of a sudden want pizza.

Quick and Easy Brownies

Good recipe. I only used 1 cup of flour and these were still very cakey brownies. I omitted the nuts and added cacao nibs instead.

Old Fashioned Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

This was very good and moist. I did follow the directions, whipping the yolks and whites separate. If you do this step this will give your cake fluff and keep it moist. I did omit the second round of butter, added 1/4 cup of reserved pineapple juice to the already whipped yolks, and reduced the 1 cup of sugar to 1/2 cup. I also added a tablespoon of sour cream to the already whipped yolks as well. Baked in a 13x9 pan for 30 minutes and it was perfect.

Florida Strawberry Muffins

This is a great muffin. I substituted cinnamon for the nutmeg. Adding the strawberry juice from the strawberries that you let sit was a brillant touch and added that strawberry flavor throughout the muffins.

Apple Crisp II

I thought this was good but not fantastic. I added 1 Tablespoon of cinnamon for more flavor and I thought it was still a bit bland. I was lazy and didn't peel the apples, if anyone else is thinking of skipping that step don't! The skins didn't cook down which I thought they would, so that is my mistake and didn't judge my review on this mistake. The crumb topping though was very good.

I liked the simplicity of this dish. While I did enjoy it I just didn't find it fantastic or as flavorful as I thought it would be. The rest of my family said they enjoyed it so that was a good thing.

Pesto Stuffed Pork Chops

My hubby and I enjoyed this. He said it was a "home run." The only change we both agreed to was 1/4 instead of 1/2t. red pepper. I also forgot to put the balsamic vinegar on and then back in oven so I just used a spash on the chops and mixed it with some of the warm stuffing that oozed out.

Cranberry Orange Loaf

This was very flavorful and easy to make. I substituted yogurt for the butter and omitted the nuts. I do agree with some posts that the bread is dense and a bit touch.

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

Wow!! This is fine dining but at home! My husbands first words were WOW and I agree. Not only did I like this recipe for the simple fact of not too many ingredients but very easy to make. I had all the ingredients except Marsala wine, so I googled subs for it and if you mix 1/4 cup dry white wine with 1 teaspoon Brandy you have a sub. I did this 4 times to equal the wine. This is a favorite! Love Love Love this recipe!

Lemon Blueberry Bread

I did enjoy the flavor. I doubled the lemon juice and zest for more flavor. I also used half sugar half splenda. My only issue was I thought these were dense and that is the reason I am not giving it 5stars. My hubby really liked this bread though.

Big Smokey Burgers

My hubby and I loved these. I loved the smokey flavor from the liquid smoke. I did make a few changes, I used garlic powder and onion powder instead and in place of the adobo pepper items I used some chili powder and half a can of mild green chilis. I topped mine with the cheddar cheese, bacon and tomato slices. This is keeper for me.
