Cantaloupe Berry Smoothie

Very yummy! I used frozen raspberries and also a handful of ice cubes because my husband and I like thick smoothies. We will make this one again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
Delish!!!! I used stewed tomatoes instead of cream soup and added carrots and baby potatoes. It is one of my niece's favorites - she requests it every time she comes to visit!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
My sister-in-law and I loved this, but still could not get the kids and men to eat this vegetable. Yummy to me, but not tempting enough for the veggie-haters.

Marinated Tuna Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
A little too salty. If I try it again, I will use a smaller quantity of low-sodium soy sauce.

Creamy Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
The easiest and best tasting soup ever! I sauted the onion and some garlic with 2 T. butter like another reviewer and pureed 2/3 of the cooked broccoli and onion before adding the milk/flour mixture. I will definitely make this again!

Pecan Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
I loved this recipe! I used butter instead of margarine and 2/3 cups rice and 1 1/3 cups water to the same amount of spices, onions and pecans. It had a rich nutty flavor. I will make this again.

Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
Oh my gosh! This is one of my favorite meals! I only changed a few things - added 3/4 cup each of chopped red and green bell peppers and the spices while sauteeing the onion and garlic. Served in lettuce leafs (kind of like a vegan, gluton-free burrito). It was delicous! Even my meat-loving husband was completely satisfied with this dish! Thanks for the recipe.

Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
Didn't really care for it. The garlic and broth gave it a little flavor (very little). Cauliflower was just too bland.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
Delicious! I had fun going crazy with this recipe for my sister-in-law's birthday. In a 9 X 13 casserole dish I covered the bottom and sides with whole chocolate chip cookies (the chunky Chips Ahoy Ones). Then I put on my first layer of ice cream - Chocolate fudge brownie. I used the slow churned because it spread easier. I froze it for 30 min. then spread chocolate topping all over it. Froze for 15 min. then added layer of vanilla ice cream. Froze 30 min. Added tub of Cool Whip and sprinkled with mini chocolate chips and wrote "Happy Birthday" with chocolate syrup. Froze overnight before the party. My chocolate syrup writing didn't exactly stay where it was supposed to, but the cake TASTED absolutely delicious! I had made it larger so their would be enough for the 14 people that were there. Well, there was only one small piece left! Everyone loved it and few people had seconds. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE RECIPE!

Grilled Chicken Adobo

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
My husband really liked the taste of the chicken. I used less soy sauce and more water and also broiled chicken instead of grilling. The leftover sauce wasn't very good on rice and veggies, but the final chicken product was very moist and flavorful. Next time I'll marinate veggies or just put soy sauce on them.

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
Very good corn. If you buy corn that is already shucked, wrap in foil after spreading butter and seasoning. I like to put green or red chili powder or seasoning salt on my corn to give it a little kick. Thumbs up!
