Bean with Bacon

Melon Fruit Bowl

I make this fruit salad all the time. The banana dressing is a must! I'm sure you could use any fruit combination, but this mixture works very well with the dressing.

Vanilla Wafer Cookies

Buttery, slightly sweet and just the right amount of vanilla. I wouldn't label these "Vanilla Wafers". Just a really good vanilla bite that cures your craving for a sweet snack. Thanks for the post.

Claire's Yummy Crepes

This recipe needs altering. I'm giving it 2 stars because the batter is way too thick. You can't even swirl it in a pan. I had to add more milk in order to make these.

Grandma's Corn Chowder

This is the best breakfast to have on hand when you're in a hurry. Make it the night before and you have instant food when you're crunched for time. I like it straight from the oven. Scoop some in a bowl and splash on some milk...a great tasting, hot breakfast that sticks with you for hours. My daughter eats this stuff plain. However you choose to eat it...it's good! We make this every week.

Bacon Wrapped Pork Medallions

I was not very fond of this recipe. I think that the cook time is too long and you probably should use fresh herbs and garlic instead of dried. I followed this recipe exactly as written. If I ever try it again, I will use fresh ingredients and decrease the cooking time in the oven. Heck, I might not even put it in the oven...just finish cooking right on top of the stove!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Woo Doggy!!! These are fantastic! You best have a cold beer to chase these down with. Made recipe exactly as stated. 350 degree heat at 10 minutes was perfect.

Steak on a Stick

My son enjoyed this and had two helpings. I liked it but the next time I make it, I'll wait until it's warmer outside so I can slap these babies on the grill instead of broiling them. I think I'll marinate them for two days instead of just overnight.

Grilled Steak Pinwheels

This was a pain in the to make. However, it IS different from your ordinary flank steak. My husband liked it so I guess that's all that matters. I enjoyed it but I think if I ever make this again, I'll quickly saute the mushrooms in the bacon grease before combining with remaining ingredients.

Pepperoni Bread

My kids enjoyed this more than my husband did. I didn't have time to thaw out bread dough, so I took someone's advice and used the refrigerated, Pillsbury bread loaf that comes in a can. It didn't roll out very well and was difficult to roll up. I think the dough was a bit too gooey and thin. We ended up with a crazy looking loaf of pepperoni bread, but it still tasted okay. I made it again, but this time I used crescent rolls, pinching the ends closed, and those turned out pretty good. If I make this again any time soon, I think I will try it with the frozen bread dough.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Pork tenderloin is one of my favorite meats to cook. But, not by using a slow cooker. I thought for sure you would still have the same moist and delicious meat but blah...I would rather roast a pork tenderloin or slice it and broil it than prepare it this way...Blah! And leave out the wine! Tasteless and dry. If it wasn't for the juice, I couldn't have finished the small piece I had.
