Whole Grain Breakfast Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2015
Delish! both my girls gobbled them up. They were so happy to eat them for breakfast on the go with a cip of milk. Much better than a cereal bar...without preservatives. I tried coconut oil and 2 eggs. I didnt have a food processor so I had chopped walnuts in them. I liked the texture this way. It was more satisfying like a granola bar. Love how healthy these are too. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Healthier Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
I added chocolate chips and an extra tsp of cinnamon, but they still came out a bit bland. The texture is light, and it's healthier, but not something I would make again.

Roxie's Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2014
Very moist, lightly sweetened muffin. My 6 year old liked it! I did not have a banana so I put in about 1/4 cup of low fat plain yogurt. Subbed 2 T of veg oil instead of butter. Thanks for posting!

Easy Corn Chowder I

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
Wow.I generally avoid using cream of mushroom soup in anything but I was short on time. I only had a can of regular corn so I dumped in the blender for about 30 seconds before adding it to the soup. Even without the bacon it was delicious! Can't wait to make it again for a crowd.

Chef John's Turkey Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2014
Delicious! I cut the cayenne down to 1/4 tsp since my kids don't like spice and it was perfect! Sweet, spicy, cheesy goodness on a roll.

Lentil Soup with Lemon

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2013
WOW. My kids even ate this and I have one picky eater, in particular, who ate it! I think the lemon is the key ingredient. Made it exactly as written. Pureed more than half. Whoa...make sure you have a dish cloth to hold the lid down while pureeing. Thank you for posting!

Teriyaki Onion Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2013
Delicious! Yesterday I was exhausted and wanted an easy hamburger recipe. I didn't want to chop anything or mess around with spices and I came upon this recipe. I thought it sounded a little strange with the french fried onions, but gave it a shot. I only had about half a container of the onions left over from Christmas. I did not marinade it and I did not use cheese. I used Kikkoman teriaki marinade with garlic and ginger flavor and 80% ground beef/20% fat. I only added a little garlic salt to it and WOW! It was so delicious....like from a restaurant delicious! Thanks so much for posting! I will definitely be using this recipe again!

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
I thought this frosting was very good. I was surprised at how easy it was to make and that it did, in fact, resemble store bought frosting. I followed it exactly, but used butter and 3 cups of confectioners sugar. I really think 2.5 cups would have been enough. It was fantastic on cupcakes! Thank you so much for posting!

Salmon with Lemon and Dill

Really yummy! Cooked it in foil packet with 1/2 butter and 1/2 olive oil and juice of one lemon, plus minced garlic, dill. Ate it with wild rice, buttered peas, and salad. Thank you for posting!

Cinnamon Cranraisin Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
Wow! I wish I had yeast to make it this morning! It's a delicious breakfast/brunch loaf. Next time I will proof the yeast because it didn't rise the second time I made it. Easy too. Thanks for posting Tammy!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
I had some cinnamon crasin bread that didn't rise so I chopped it in large chunks and made this pudding. I did add some half and half and used turbino sugar instead of white. WOW! Delicious! Thank you for posting! Easy too! I will definitely make this again.

Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
Very good! I baked it in a springboard pan and used half and half instead of milk, because I was all out. It was thin like a pancake, literally 2 inches thick. I accidentally put in 1/2 cup of butter in the cake, this might have made a difference in it not rising more. It was still a hit. Next time I will definitely double the cake batter. Thank you for posting.

Fresh Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
I made this cobbler with only fresh pears. Mine had to bake for 1 hour. The cobbler was sweet, but not too cakey and sunk into the fruit. I would define it to be a little cookie-ish. Very good and will definitely make it again. Thank you for posting.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
These were wonderful and not too sweet. I made my in my bread machine and halved the recipe. I programmed the machine for 1.5lbs. It was a cinch. After preparing them I refrigerated overnight. In the morning I boiled enough water to fill a shallow pan 3/4 of the way and put it in the oven with the cinnamon rolls for 30 min. They really puffed up! In the end, they were delish! I only regret not putting raisins in them. And next time I might try brown sugar instead, but it was excellent as is. Thank you for posting!

Arroz con Pollo II

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
Excellent. Delicious flavor. I made some of the same changes as everyone else with chicken broth substituted for beer. Since I omitted the bouillon it was not too salty. I didn't add all 15 ounces of frozen peas because it seemed like too much. I used chicken drumsticks. YUM! Thank you for posting!!

Apple Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
Sorry to say this cake is terrible. I've had it before and it was delicious, so I'm not sure what went wrong. I added the 2 cups apples as suggested and cut down on the sugar by 1/2 cup, and regret that I did that. However it was definitely overbaked at about 50 minutes. I did omit the nuts, too, so maybe that was the problem. It was dry, tasteless, and a bit oily. Thanks for posting.
