Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2001
This was good. I added bananas and mandarin oranges, as suggested. Next time, I think I'll mix all the fruit together, then add enough of the condensed milk/whipped topping mixture to moisten. The fruit seemed buried in the topping and I'd like people to see what they're eating.

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2001
I made this in the morning for dinner that evening and while I was at work my mother-in-law and a friend ate more than half. Needless to say, it's great. Next time I might cut back on the sugar a little. Would be perfect for a barbecue or potluck.

Ultimate Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2001
I thought this was good, a little soupy. Guess it should set before serving. Husband suggested using half the amount of sour cream (he's not a big sour cream fan). Definitely worth a try.

Three Cheese Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2001
Very good. Next time I'd make and use only half of the crumb topping. It just seemed to make too much.

Egg and Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2001
This was good. It's similar to a breakfast pizza recipe I have, but easier since you don't have to pat out the dough so much. Next time I'd probably add a cup or so of thawed, shredded hashbrowns. Yummy.

Elegant Lemon Pork Chop Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2001
Overall, I'd give this an average rating. The ketchup taste was just too strong.

Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2001
This was too much work. It tasted OK, nothing spectacular. I had to bake it at least 10 minutes longer than suggested, and it was still doughy. Maybe bake the rolls for awhile before adding the sauce? I don't think I'll make it again.

Cheesy Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2001
This tasted OK, just not something we were crazy about. The pork chops were very moist, though. The kids wouldn't touch it.

Ham and Cheese Omelet Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2001
This was Ok, but I should have cut up the ham into smaller pieces. I've had better breakfast casseroles.

Italian Style Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2000
Very good. I had to drain the fat off about 1/2 way through and had to bake it longer than an hour, probably 15 minutes more. Yummy.

Fruit Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2000
I made a half recipe and it was way too much. It is really difficult for the ball to hold its shape. Probably best to serve it in a little dish, like a dip. I thought it tasted good, but doubt if I'd make it again.

Spoon Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2000
These were good and freezed well, too. I think they may be even better if you substituted almond extract for the vanilla.

Rich Penne Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2000
We liked this; similar to a recipe I have which adds cream cheese instead of half-and-half. I prefer the cream cheese, but this was good too. Probably would add another can of tomatoes to have more sauce, or a can of crushed tomatoes.

Slow Cooker Casserole

Everyone in the family liked this, even my two young children. I halved the recipe (but used two packages of ramen noodles). I think it's a keeper.

Baked Corn

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2000
It doesn't get any easier than this. I didn't like the cornbread taste so much, probably would have preferred a more traditional corn pudding. My husband liked it.

Mexican Lasagna

The salsa I used was a little too hot for me, but the husband liked it. Overall, a good dish and quick. I'd make it again.
