Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
This is my favorite stuffed mushroom recipe, whether I make following the recipe or whether I tweak it. Try topping it with bacon crumbles or french fried onions. :)

Whether you follow the recipe exactly, or use it as a jumping off point for your own ideas, this is great!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
This was my 1st attempt at making a cheesecake. I followed the recipe completely. Very good considering how easy it was to prepare. Still, it wasn't as good as a restaurant.

Peanut Butter Frosting

Awesome with chocolate cake! I doubled the recipe for a 4 layer cake. It was marvelous. Very rich, but we couldn't stop eating it!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
Very tasty, very easy... a bit overly sweet, but since I paired it with pumpkin muffins that were not extremely sweet, it was perfect!

Sesame Noodles

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
I made this straight from the recipe, and it's very good! I'm pregnant and craving this restaurant fav all the time. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because, compared to the restaurant versions I'm used to, it has no heat to go with the sweet. I added crushed red pepper, which helped... but I'll add hot oil to it next time I make it. And I WILL be making it again SOON!! Thanks for a great recipe!

Red Velvet Cake I

I made it exactly as instructed. Easy to put together. The cake was moist and tasty. Didn't try the icing, because I have another fav recipe.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Made it using the exact ingredients. I even creamed each batch using my machine, and then folded using the machine. It was perfect. A must have recipe!

Peanut Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
LOVE this recipe. Super easy to make. I made 12 huge cupcakes at the same time and temp. I used store bought choc frosting on some and p.b. frosting on others. Definitely the p.b. was a sweeter cupcake than the choc... but BOTH are delicious! Also had a friend make this as a Reece's pb cake with crushed reeces cups on top. It was AWESOME.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
I made this again, following the recipe exactly. IT WAS PERFECT! I made cupcakes and topped them with a small dollop of Cream Cheese Frosting II and a sprinkle of crushed pecans. Yum! I made this recipe and tweaked it using the suggestions listed by other raters. It was just ok, and not worth doing again. (Rather dry and heavy on the spices.) But I ~will~ actually try the recipe as written next time, and ammend my rating if neccessary.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
Great! I didn't have ham, so subbed bacon and added 1 c. cheddar too. Garnished with chives. Voila = Loaded Baked Potato Soup. Yum! (Mine finished very thick for my liking, so I added chicken stock until I was happy.)

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
Very good. The recipe seemed a bit overly-complicated, so I streamlined it. It was still very good. I was leary of the lemon, but (for those who might feel the same as I did) I wanted to reassure you that the lemon manages to accent the bacon's flavor... making it tangier than usual, but not so much noticable as lemon.

Corn Casserole III

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
I love this recipe, and have been using it for years. The only bad thing I can say for it, is that it always takes about an hour and a half to cook. But it's totally worth the wait! Tonight I am making it again, adding an egg and using a muffin tin, to see if I can get it out of the oven in less than an hour. I'll report back... UPDATE: This worked great in muffin tins, and made serving super easy! Bake time was 30-45 mins. Pull them out when they still seem squishy, and they'll set up in a few mins.

Mini Pumpkin Butterscotch Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
I love butterscotch and I love pumpkin... just stands to reason that I'd love this muffin recipe. But it's just OK. The tastes don't clash, but they both cancel out the wonderfulness of the other, lea;ving no real satisfaction either way. This wasn't a waste of time, but I probably wont crave to do it again.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I must have done something wrong with this recipe, because it was bad. The crumb topping wasn't crumbly, even after adding walnut pieces. I made 12 muffins, yet they were still over-flowing and burned on the edges. The taste was ok, but an overall disappointment. I will try this one again, though, to be sure I didn't make a mistake in preparation... after all, so many people couldn't be so wrong! :)
