Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Excellent recipe!!! Pancakes came out nice and fluffy. Only changes I made was to reduce salt to 1/2 tsp and added 1 tsp vanilla. I highly recommend this recipe to anyone who enjoys tasty fluffy pancakes!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

It is a good way to have carmelized brussel sprouts but need to make some adjustments. I slice mine in half and roast cut side down and cook for 20 min at 350 or until dark brown. I've also prepared this in a frying pan with the same results.

Smokin' Scovilles Turkey Chili

Excellent turkey chili recipe! I've made it twice so far and it's amazing. I use 2 cans of tomato sauce, do not drain the diced tomatoes, and add an additional can of kidney beans for consistency. By sauteing the turkey with the spices gives the meat so much flavor. I tried another turkey chili recipe and it was bland b/c the recipe didn't season the meat prior to adding the liquids.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

I followed this recipe and took the other reviewer's advice and baked it at 325. Unfortunately my crust came out really dark and I had a huge crack. The crust did not taste good. I've baked cheesecakes before and was disappointed with this one. Will try it one more time with a water bath and not using a mixer after the cream cheese and sugar part.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Pretty easy to make and quite tasty. Unfortunately, similar to others, I did not have sherry so made it without. Followed the recipe except added more beef broth as the gravy was too thick with only 1 cup and used regular salt since I did not have seasoned salt. Other than that, it was very good and I would make it again.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

great cookie recipe. I followed the other suggestions and added another 1/2 cup flour and peanut butter. i baked at 350 for 10 min. The cookies on my dark non-stick pan browned nicely. I would turn the heat to 375 for my light aluminum pan as those were still not brown after 10 min. I also rolled the dough in sugar before baking and everyone said they liked that touch. I don't care for peanut butter cookies but ended up eating a bunch because they tasted great! Awesome recipe!!!

Blueberry Pie

Made this for a July 4th bbq and it was a hit. I used 5 tbsp of cornstarch as recommended by others and fresh blueberries. I did a lattice top and everyone was impressed with how professional it looked. EASY recipe which turned out VERY yummy! I highly recommend this recipe.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

I followed the recipe except reducing the butter by 1 Tbsp. The texture was not what I expected. It was spongy/chewy but my colleagues liked it. I wouldn't make this again but gave it 3 stars since folks at work ate it.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

I used italian breadcrumbs instead of the stuffing mix and canola spray instead of butter to make it healthier. It came out perfect! I would definitely make this again. Thanks!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Amazingly tasty stuffing. Made this for my Supper Club and everyone raved on how tasty it was. All went back for seconds. Minor adjustments include using only whole wheat bread, fresh herbs, sweet Italian turkey sausage, and additional broth to keep it moist since I did not stuff a turkey. Although other reviewers used prepared bread crumbs, I felt making my own was healthier (no additives, corn syrup, etc) and it didn't take more than 10 min to cut the bread up. I baked it covered for 30 minutes.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Easy recipe! Doubled the recipe to make two pot pies. Came out perfect! Used store bought pie crust that I unrolled in my pie pans, diced chicken breast tenders, baby carrots that I chopped into bite sized pieces, and added several diced yukon potatoes. Followed other suggestions and used garlic powder instead of celery salt, mixed the veggie/chix with the flour/butter/milk/broth mixture before putting into the pie crust, and lowered the temperature to 325 degrees. Baked for 40 min. Next time I would use chicken seasoning as recommended by others since it needed a little more flavor. But other than that, it was yummy! I would definitely make it again.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Great recipe. My office said these were the best cookies I've brought in yet! Only difference is that I had to bake them a few minutes longer to get them nicely browned. but overall, they tasted great!

Apple Crumble Pie

With a few modifications that the others recommended, this pie came out awesome! I got tons of compliments from my co-workers. I halved the white sugar and substituted w/brown sugar for the filling and topping. And also added a few tbsp of flour for the filling which definitely helped with the consistency. Definitely a keeper! Thanks!
