I always have to make a double/triple batch or my husband will eat it all before I'm able to serve it. ;)

My husband and son raved over this clever veggie disguise! They even said they'd eat a vegetarian night once a week if I made it this good every time!

We throw in whatever chopped fresh veggies we feel like adding and then add a dash of red pepper flakes, a little pepper, a few sprinkles of pepper and parmesan cheese.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
Delicious! I should have baked it in a 9X13 however as it bubbled over into the bottom of my oven (a pain to clean!). But as for the cobbler itself...delicious and quite a hit. I was hoping it'd last more than just 1 night (as I was hoping to treat myself for breakfast with a hot treat!)...it didn't last 30 minutes after being initially served! So if you're looking for that perfect guest pleasing treat...this is it! Just expect it to be *Poof* gobbled up and gone before your eyes :)!!

Pasta Hot! Hot! Hot!

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
This is delicious. My husband got up for seconds and when he saw there was only noodles left and no sauce, he begged me to tell him what was in it because he was making MORE right now! :) Guess that's good sign!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
This was delicious. But "as is" it was only a 4 star. It had hardly any heat, so as a family preference we kicked it up a few notches with some chili powdewr and a little hot chili oil. I also added a heaping of veggies, Broccoli, Cauliflower, carrots, 1 small can of cubed Pineapple after the chicken cooked. Also 15 min. before it was done we threw in in chopped cabbage and a extra sprinkling of seasoning salt. Served hot over rice. MMMMMmmmm it was delicious! In fact my family asked to have the left overs for Breakfast the next day!

Maria's Broccoli Rabe

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2010
I made it as is and then taste tested...it was a little bland. I added 2 tbs. of italian bread crumbs, a dash of red pepper flakes, dash of seasoning salt, and a dash of italian seasoning. It was so good I had to have a small appetizer bowl for myself while I was cooking and throw in another batch for my family as I knew it for sure wouldn't be enough :)

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
This recipe was good; however you really need to use Texas Toast Bread or French Bread. Also I had to throw in a little extra splash of vanilla and brown sugar to the last half as my first crowd who were gobbling up the first half said they were a little bland. Overall they weren't to bad and very easy to whip up!

Lisa's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
This recipe was delicious. I didn’t have chocolate pudding, so I used vanilla. I also used 1/2 cup of applesauce instead of oil. It was so moist and while it was still warm we dished it out (not frosted) and ate with several scoops of ice cream. WONDERFUL!

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
This was super easy and delicious. I didn't have long grain rice on hand, so I used the Bulk Short Grain rice we have. I cooked it in our rice cooker and then threw in the tomato sauce (used left over spaghetti sauce), taco seasoning (we didn't have just cumin), only 1/4 c. broth and the cooked rice together in a skillet; it was delicious! This will be a favorite pick for fast, easy and delicious recipes at our household.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
This was my first turkey and it was delicious! Our family is so big we had 2 turkeys this year and I decided I was up for the perfect turkey challenge. I doubled the recipe for my 22lb bird and ended up putting it in at 8pm the night before covered in foil. At only 230 F degrees and let her cook until 11:30 Thanksgiving morning. It was so juicy, my family raved over it! This is a definite keeper. I did mix the butter with garlic powder before rubbing it under the skin and threw in quartered onions, apples and an orange for flavor in the middle of the carcass. (if you want the pretty golden color make sure you take off the foil at least an hour before it's done, but don't forget to baste it so it won't dry out!) The leftover juice was to good to let go to waste, so I made a turkey dumpling soup the next day!! My mother-in-law couldn't believe we had bought our turkeys at the same place because of how juicy this recipe made mine!

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
This sauce was very good. I took the advice of another reviewer and pureed the tomatoes and onions but it was a little to runny so I added a tsp of cornstarch mixed with a sm. amount of creamer first so it would be smooth. It lacked a little umph for us and had to add in a little crushed red pepper and a pinch of chile powder. My husband said it needed sprinkled with Parmesan Cheese to make it perfect.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
This was very good I did though split the sour cream that was called for with half sour cream and half cream of mushroom soup so that it would still have a hint of that cream of mushroom taste. I also added the french fried onions on top instead of the crackers (just our family's personal preference). Overall this was very easy and very good. I did also only bake it in the oven for 15min, and it was just as good.

Easy Fried Spinach

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
very good but i did have to make some additions because it was a little to bland...i added grated parmesean cheese and a dash of seasoned salt and pepper. **The second time i made it i chopped up a cup worth of red onion and 2 sm. red roma tomatoes chopped (add the onion in w/ the garlic and the tomato in for the last minute. Sprinkled a little cheese on top and it was delicious.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
This bread is awesome the first time i made it, it made 5 little loaves and well let's just say i only got the chance to give 1 away (I ate the rest!!!) They're delicious. I know it may sound like an odd combination but the zuchini makes it very moist and the blueberries give it a scrumptious little tang. **My anti fruit husband though thought it would be better with chocolate chips** I'd have to disagree.
