Cheese Ball I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
Not impressed with this. Turned out nice looking but was on the bland side. I'll have to keep looking for the perfect cheeseball. Sorry.

Apple Spice Dump Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
Ended up having to melt extra butter and pour on the dry spots and let bake more. Otherwise it would have been powder cake. Haha. Topped the apples with a pinch of sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon before adding cake mix. Served warm with vanilla ice cream. I'll make it again I'm sure.

Black-Eyed Pea Gumbo

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
As written, I gave this recipe a 2. No seasoning, very bland. With the additions I made I would give it a 5. Absolutely delicious. Used 4 cans of black eyed peas with bacon, a pound of smoked sausage cut into bite sized pieces, a teaspoon and a half of cajun seasoning, a sprinkle of wosterschier, and in place of broth I dissolved chicken bullion in hot water. I left out the bell pepper because my family and I don't care for them. I served this with fried cornbread fritters. Comfort at its best!

Pizzadillas

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I made these with flour tortillas, mozzarella, pizza sauce, and pepperonie. Cooked them with Non stick cooking spray. My very picky almost 2 year old son loved them. That's really saying something. LOL.

Carrot Casserole

WOW! I was pleasantly surprised. I loved it. Husband loved it. Even my 16 month old son had some. Instead of croutons I used buttered Italian bread crumbs. Give this one a try. Well worth it.

OH MY GOD!!! This was delicious!!! Can't wait to have it again. I went by the recipe except I used rotinie, didn't have spaghettie on hand. My husband and 15 month old son also loved it. Thanks so much for this recipe.

I didn't really like this. I prefer my brownie with ice cream.

Poke Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
I gave the recipe a 4 because I made a few changes. With the changes it's definately a 5. I baked the cake in a 9x13 pan just to make it easier and I used orange jello. It had a creamsicle taste to it. Absolutely delicious. I will make again. Might try peach or black cherry in a chocolate cake. Yummy.

Cornbread Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
Wow...This was AMAZING!!! I fixed this for a Fourth of July cook out and people RAVED over it. I used poultry seasoning and chili powder instead of sage and cumin (didn't have any on hand). I left out the bell pepper because I don't like them.

Cream Cheese Corn Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2007
I fixed this last night to serve with tacos and refried beans. My husband and I were impressed! I used SteamFresh frozen corn, 6 oz cream cheese, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and I added extra green chilis for more spice. Super easy. Spicy but sweet. Will be making again soon!

Good but dry. I followed the cooking instructions but I think my oven was off. Will cook less next time.

Simple Taco Soup

This was really good. Served it with cornbread, sour cream, and shredded cheddar. Next time I will just use diced tomatoes instead of stewed. They were in huge chunks.

Hurricane's Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2007
This recipe was FANTASTIC!!! I prepared exactly as the recipe said. To cook my chicken tenders I sauted them in a little bit of oil with Lawrys seasoned salt and fresh cracked black pepper. My husband loved it. He said it tasted like a "very good version of a pot pie". Thanks for the recipe!

This was YUMMY! I used all ingredients that the recipe called for. I mixed everything together but the egg noodles. We just served noodles with the sauce on top.

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
My husband loved this cake. So did my parents. I on the other hand didn't see anything so special about it. It tasted like a boxed cakemix with chocolate chips added. I had to give it 4 instead of 5 stars. Sorry.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2006
Very good. I didn't have onion soup mix so I used real onion and meat loaf seasoning but it was still really nice. Crackers made it nice and moist. Even had meatload sandwiches the next day. :)
