Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
The rolls tasted good, but I would bake them in a bigger baking dish next time. I had to throw out 2 of the center ones because they just wouldn't bake and the rest of them were already really brown on the top and bottom.

The Original All-Bran® Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2007
This is a really good recipe and I will definitely make it again. It has a good flavor to it just as it is, but if you're looking for variations try adding raisins or whatever other dried fruit you like.

Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
This recipe was extremely salty. I believe you could omit the garlic salt altogether, especially if you're using salted butter. Even if you were to use unsalted butter, you still would not need a tablespoon of garlic salt. I won't be using this recipe again.

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
This is a nice and tasty dish. I love the simplicity of it. I tried this quite a while ago and I plan on making it for tonight's dinner. If you find you don't have cream of celery soup, cream of chicken will do. I've also tried using chicken breasts instead of thighs and it's still good. Keep in mind though, the five star rating is for the ORIGINAL recipe, not for the substitutions I have made.

Slow Cooker Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
I thought this recipe was good, but an extra pound of ground beef wouldn't hurt. Also it took longer than 1 hour, but I guess the size and width of your slow cooker will determine cooking time.

Slow Cooker Chicken Dressing

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2007
The flavor wasn't so great. It could have used something more in the seasoning department. The texture was rather mushy, but I guess you can't expect much from a slow cooker. I think some dishes are just better off being cooked in the oven and chicken dressing is one of them.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: May 3, 2007
This was too sweet for my taste. A little less sugar may be in order. Like others have suggested, one and a half cups would be better. I'd even consider trying just 1 cup of sugar, especially if you are going to serve it with a sauce anyway.

I would never try this recipe again. The flavor was lacking and it was overly sweet.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2006
I wouldn't change a thing. This recipe was one of the best lasagna recipes I've ever tried. The sauce was absolutely delicious and much better than using the jarred stuff.

Thick Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
I tried using 2/3 cup of sugar, but that was too sweet. I think I'll try 1/2 cup next time. It really just depends on your tastes. If you don't like it too sweet then 1/3 cup will be just fine. Other than that I thought it was a good recipe if you like your pudding really thick. If not you might want to try adding 2 tablespoons of cornstarch instead of 3 and it'll probably still be thick enough.

Hens with Apricot Rice Stuffing

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2006
I loved this recipe. I ended up only roasting 2 cornish hens and I made about twice the amount of stuffing the original recipe called for because I love extra stuffing. So, what I couldn't get in the hens I served on the side. The only thing I would suggest is making extra apricot preserves and vinegar mixture to serve with the finished product. I tasted this glaze before I poured it on the hens and thought it was absolutely delicious-sweet and sour.

Corn Casserole I

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2006
This was a very good recipe. It was better than I thought it would be. My parents and sister thought it was good. The only thing I'd do differently next time is add sharp Cheddar instead of mild (I know the recipe didn't specify one over the other). It really just depends on your tastes. I might even try adding a little salt and pepper next time.

Herbed Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2006
My family liked these and thought they were fine, but I found them too salty and I followed the recipe precisely. So, if I ever make these again I think I'll cut back on the salt. It had the right amount of herbs though. I think a half teaspoon of salt would be fine, considering the soup or stew you're adding them to is bound to be salty enough on its own. Either I'd do that or I would use unsalted butter.
