Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
We loved it - didn't change a thing and had lots of leftovers

Peruvian Alfajores

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
Perfect and easy - although I added an extra 2 Tbsp. of cold water to get the dough to stick together. My peruvian husband ate the whole batch and I had to make another.

Red Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
Reminds me of Peru ... I found it was too much mustard so I'll use less than half next time, and I added salt, but otherwise was great.

Empanadas

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2007
Delicate and tiresome to make but they get rave reviews. I put a tiny chunk of cream cheese in each of mine too.

Irish Bannock

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2007
Amazing! I made one loaf, they ate it all in one day, had to make another. I've tried it with raisins, plain, it's all good!

Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2007
My husband and I thought these turned out so delicious! I'm not an expert cabbage-roll-roller because they fell apart (I think blanching the cabbage leaves first would help), and the tomato soup burned to the bottom a bit but it didn't affect the flavour at all. Definitely will be making a double batch next time!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2007
This recipe was great, my family loved it, but DOUBLE IT if you're going to make it. It is way too thin for a 9x13 in. pan.

Lentil Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2007
This stew turned out wonderfully! I used Turkey Kielbasa to make it a little lighter and the sausage flavour was infused throughout. Will definitely make again!

Mongolian Beef I

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2007
It was ok, not extremely flavourful. It could have used a big whack of Ginger!

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2007
I have to say, I was disappointed. They turned out dry and tasted "strange". I've eaten plenty of baked beans in my life and these didn't taste right. I was looking forward to sharing a Canadian classic with my south american husband and I don't think he'll be willing to try again.

Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2007
I would cut the amount of dressing in 1/2 next time - I had to drain it 3 times! But the flavour was GREAT!

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
A little bland, needed salt or something to perk it up but it worked and was very easy to make.
